if anyone could be so kind as to find a high(er) res version of yo-yo kirby, i’d appreciate it.
Haha I haven’t even started that yet and Drop One’s done. That looks badass man.
The only higher resolution you can get is the images with the pink background and the DS logo on it. Then you’ll have to cut that out yourself as a PNG.
i’m sure that’s the one he found. 1024 is small
Like I said. The only higher resolution image. I don’t know if there are any bigger than the original wallpaper style and I’m going to assume he used the PNG version. Anyhow the picture size of his yoyo kirby is quite small and you only need like a 30ish zoom on Photoshop for the actual size of the artwork.
Yeah, the one i have was about the same size. i can get away with it the way it is now, but it wasnt my original intention to make that kirby that small.
Just finished this up for a client.

So how does everyone usually go about removing a character from a background? The Quick Selection tool works wonders on Photoshop, but I can’t change the tolerance on it so it still picks up some parts of the image that I don’t want.
I tried copy and pasting my selection to a new image and used the Magic Wand with the tolerance turned down really low, so that helped a little but I still have some old parts of the image that I want to get rid of.
Is this a job for the background eraser? Or something else?
Here’s the image I’m working on. (It’s in a higher resolution normally, I just reduced the size when I uploaded the example.)
I always seem to choose the characters with messy hair, too.
the mighty pen tool is the best tool EVER
Thanks alot guys, I am loving the pictures.
@SoothSayer I am really liking yours and am actually leaning more towards putting that on my V.S.
-is it possible to change the colors of a couple of the background kirbys. Instead of all pink kirbys, just leave two of them pink and make the others red, green, and yellow.
@Drop One I am also really liking that picture and am leaning towards putting that on my daughters S.E. so I might ask you to make that one with my Astro SE Template.
I will let you guys know tomorrow or the day after and then get your info to send you plexis.
Really awesome work guys.
um what i do is, select all the stuff around the character > select inverse > expand selection 1 pixel or 2 so its a little over, then cut paste in new transparent pic > then use the background eraser and manually go around every pixel. also if colors are off on the character caused by the previous background i use the Blur tool.
Does anyone have any artwork of Juri and Hugo in the same pic…Kinda want to do a stick themed on my sfxt team.
Umm…under the guide panel the word Street is missing it’s T.
Shit thanks for catching that. i completely missed that.
The Jpeg artifacts, THEY BURN!!
