Looks great Matt keep up the good work, I see that the upper mid screw caused a tiny crack on the plexi cover or is that a scratch. Man can’t wait to see this arcade stick get done with that awesome paint job you have planned and spidey swings it’s merry way back to the new arcade stick thread.

Actually it didn’t crack, when I saw that in the pic I freaked out and went to check and it’s all good. Must have been a lighting thing or a hair or something.

heres mine, artwork is original. The jester shown is a character of mine. Only thing thats not original is the skull that was a stock image i used, i selected the edges and lines and all with the wand tool and put a pink stroke on a different layer than brought it over. The “FANTASMA” piece was drawn separate on photoshop as well and than brought over to the template. planning on buyin some pink and blue buttons fuh sho.

That Bison sprite really doesn’t go at all. The Gohan661 doesn’t fit, and I’d drop the button lables entirely.
I think I know what you’re trying to do with the background: Is it from the Japanese beginning of series 3, just before the shot fades out to teen Gohan as Great Sayaman? It really doesn’t work though, sorry dude. You should do the dark storm clouds, or change tack and give Gohan his Super Sayajin aura.
You’d also end up with a lot more of Gohan if you flopped him to the otherside - nice big space to the left of the joystick. You lose a lot of him from the buttons on the right. Although the guide/ turbo block might negate this, it’d be worth seeing.

Series 3 is after that, and is a direct reference to that scene. Japanese series 3 starts when Gohans about 18.
At least we’re on the same page.

OK day two end results with photoshop I know it’s not much but it still took me a while as i did not know how to even draw a square background colour or anything

Now i like the idea of a lcars panel but I cannot decide on how to label the buttons as i really do want buttons (labels) there. Should they be just random floating lcars buttons which i tried but i think looks silly or put 4 lines of buttons with only the first one relevant to X,Y,A,B ect

Inputs for ideas requested i know all the lines and stuff do not line up and couple of corners not rounded right but i need ideas!

EDIT: OK I was about to go to sleep and I had an idea what do you think of this

I like the idea of an LCARS panel, I used to be a huge Trekkie. Honestly though, the different icons you put in would only help if you could remember which group represented which button, might get confusing if you really needed it.

Im getting the Real Arcade Pro VX SA And im planning on getting some artwork decals on it. Anyone got any good artwork for that stick. If you only got character specific then im maining blarog. if that helps. But more mainly something in general i guess something badass

Anyways, I was hoping you guys could help me. I don’t know what I should put on the bottom ribbon underneath Frank’s GDLK quote. Maybe my name, logo… Frank’s name? Help me out. Oh, and any feedback is greatly appreciated!

1. While a purple stick is okay, I think it’s too purple. I really don’t know what to suggest other than looking at other colours, at least as accent colours.
2. I don’t know if you made the background, but if you did, use less Filter->Render->Clouds. And by less I mean don’t use it. If you didn’t make the background, I would recommend a different background just because I don’t think that’s visually appealing, but if you like it then keep it I guess.
3. Center the button labels over the buttons, and keep a consistent spacing away from the buttons.
4. Visually the Bipsons on the bottom don’t really work. If you want a Bipson stick, make one, but this Dragonball x Street Fighter look doesn’t make sense to me.
5. I’m not a huge fan of the text effect for “Gohan661”

Also, the “A” button symbol is squished. Try resizing it to make it uniform with the other symbols.

I feel like the Frank in the lower left corner is just tucked away. maybe you can scale him up. and then copy down “you know!” to the tape underneath and slide over “I’ve covered wars,” so you can make space for him

I’m liking this so far. Looks awesome.
I like the ship icons, but the button symbols get lost on them. Maybe have the symbols seperate with a line to the icons, or even the button symbols listed down the side, with lines to each of the ship icons.

A friend of mine is in the middle of customizing his TE, he bought the yellow bezel and buttons and went to put on some Vega art and realized he needed some plexi. So I’m getting him the plexi for Christmas and thought it would be nice to throw in some alternate art of his actual main:

I feel like it’s missing something… Also, did I go too far with the “he’s dressed like a bee!” with all the hexagons?

Yes i think it does say ‘I’m a bumble bee’ too much also I just couldn’t have a Cody stick without it saying ‘BINGO’ on it somewhere

Gonna try this again since no one responded to my last post. probably becuase i posted a link and not a piture my b. here it goes. All original artwork and design, i am a freelance designer…the skull is the only thing not original, that was a stock image of a skull and than i just painted the edges pink and deleted everything else. The jester character shown is an original character of mine used in a lot of my artwork, i thought it would be cool to make my stick more particular to me. The graffitti up top was also done by me an another piece than brought over on to the stick design.

i personally like it and did not think of bumblebees until you said so. why not make the background look like chain links instead

No man, I think that looks really good, I don’t really think it’s missing anything either. Also, I feel like if you changed anything, you’d have to change the whole design basically since it all centers around the hexagonal theme. I’m crazy jealous though, wish my friends hooked me up with sweet gifts like that!
