4 really is stupid. Thats why i wanna play more 3s now. Kinda comin out of retirement of sorts haha. Dayton family friends hit me up on 2df…yetighettoslang. I used to have a really good tyme gettin tourneys hype with you guys playin 3s. 4 is really really stupid i cannot stress that enough. So onward to more 3s, kof, and mvc2!
know what else is stupid? tearing down fighting games. sf4s success is probly your only potentail chance for another sprite based street fighter so good luck with that strategy.
edit: I thought about getting on ggpo to learn 3s, but i dont know if my old ass computer could do it. Plus i also dont understand roms too much. Just know that alot of my friends got taken over by the thought of free games. And then their computer stopped working once they acheived every snes game ever lol.

Lag isn’t too bad at all. How old is your computer? Does it have a video card in it or does it have an integrated one?
You may run into problems with that. Not sure about the requirements to run 3s because i’ve had a computer that hasn’t had problems with it in the past two years or however long it’s been successfully emulated for.
Your TE stick might also not work on PC if it’s for PS3. There’s been a few problems with certain nvidia chipsets that detect the stick, but it doesn’t recognize any button presses or stick movements.

its only my potential potemkin chance for another sprite based fighter. whatever doode, Ono even said 3s>4 its all gravy. Really that statement makes no cents or dollhairs tho. MvC2 getting re re released IS the chance @ a new sprite based fighter. Guess you forgot aboot SNK and Arc Sys still pumping out games as well. Alot of options there.
I’ll be satisfied when CvS2 is re released. I know that probably wont happen but eh…I can hope and dream… for that and some titties in my mouth
People really need to get over their SF4 and Brawl hate.
Everyone. Started. Somewhere. And there are only two or three people that we know in this community that are old enough to say they started with SF2 (no super turbo. Champion Edition) and on the 3-D side, VF or Tekken.
In the eyes of those dudes, most of US who jumped into fighters were playing watered down, easy mode, weaksauce games.
Seriously, I am TOTALLY with otter on this because it’s just getting old at this point. You don’t like 4. Don’t play it. But you don’t have to bash it every other post, and don’t discourage others from getting into it, because SF4, SC4, Tekken 6 and even Brawl are the gateway to getting a bigger fighting gamer community.
We don’t have arcades. To play with each other in person we have to plan travel time. Cash isn’t plentiful for most of us. These newer, perhaps “watered down” games are the best chances we have to growing a larger community. And more players means more matchups. And more matchups means better placement and tournaments. And better placement in tournaments means more monies.

10 bucks is feasible for entering a random tournament. Might as well. 20? When there’s only a .0000001% chance I’ll win, or place even? Hah…
He clearly is diong the opposite of what so many of us are though. No 3rd, Mahvel or CvS2? For a community to grow properly it needs new blood…and old blood. You can’t cater to one or the other…that’s why people will keep 3rd and Mahvel in every tournament. Would be dumb not to.
Also…even though I love VF…you can’t go VF over Tekken… Oy…You can do VF AND Tekken…but NEVER VF over Tekken…

You sound very wise Mr Delpheous the Funky Homosapeon. Its a love/hate deal with a lot of these games tho. I’m guilty for making fun of the Brawl players but not Brawl itself because I know the game is fun(outside of the silly non fun tourney rules) That room in Illuminaudi was jacked lol. I’m old enough to say Karate Champ or some old ass Atari game is my first fighting game so I started at the beginning of all these beefed up versions of recycled games. I play EVERYTHING (except for some shooters and sports games…except for Tecmo Bowl cause its the shit). Im used to hearing games getting bashed all the time. I dont get mad about it though because its a bunch of personal opinions. I see where youre coming from tho.
I like how that tournament is running a small amount of games, but they. should be different games.

If you don’t like 4, don’t play it. I too think there are some problems with it, but I understand that its the 1st iteration and its a new system. Accept the system completely or not at all. This "I quit…no wait’ BS is getting old. I mean, I don’t have a drive to play 4 all day like 3rd, but I will practice it for a couple hours.
I can’t wait to hear the complaints about BB when it comes out. You realize it’s just like Guilty Gear right? How many serious GG players do we have in Dayton…like 3? And I’m counting that other ABA player and his friend in that equation. This ADD with the fighting games ought to stop.
Edit: Also, didn’t you guys play a ton of Brawl when it first came out? I don’t like the game either, but I’m not going to shit on it around people that play it. They don’t mess with us and we don’t mess with them, I don’t see how that’s difficult.
Shit let me get that out the way now… Arakune and V13 makes up 90% of the SBO list for BB. I smell some lame shit…
