I’m looking for a very, very old kungfu movie that has monkey kungfu in it and one f the masters has had their hands crippled for stealing from a mansion and he is an outcast until he finds a student to teach the kungfu to. The beginning of the movie is apart of a monkey kungfu performance
This movie will be terribad. But I will watch it regardless lol.
Was it Mad Monkey Kung fu
or the original Iron Monkey
Damn that was fast. It was Mad Monkey Kung Fu! Now the hardest part is finding the DVD lol
EDIT: nevermind, found for under 10 bucks. Its a good season to stack up on some old wushu
lololol. asian batman investigating kung fu crimes?
Did you ever find the 77’ Iron Monkey?
oh shit I will not lie, I creamed my pants. brilliantly done trailer. Looks more like A History of Violence + CSI.
Seen it. wasn’t impressed.
Sent from my phone
Downloading Reign of Assassins, gonna check it out later.
Anyone seen it yet? Michele Yeoh looking sexy despite being almost 50.
Check the Lucky Stars series of movies which starred the trio of Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan and the great Yuen Biao.
Also, there is no Ip Man 3. The Legend is Born is not part of the Wilson Yip/Donnie Yen series and is stand-alone, in fact Donnie doesn’t want to make a third until all the Ip Man frenzy has died down. There is currently a huge band wagon influx of Ip Man movies being scheduled or released already.
It’s a fantastic movie with a more raw old school feel to it (though there is a little bit of CGI blood and swords). We have been previewing the screener at work. If you liked Bang Rajan, you’ll love it.
I’ve been watching through a lot of the older classics:
36 Chambers of Shaolin (Gordon Liu)
Shaolin Temple (Jet Li)
Tai Chi 2/Tai Chi Boxer (Wu Jing)
Eastern Condors (Sammo, Yuen Biao)
Iron Monkey (Donnie Yen)
Wing Chun (Michelle Yeoh)
Mr Vampire (the late great Lam Ching-ying)
Bullet in the Head
Clan of the White Lotus (Gordon Liu)
Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars (Sammo, Yuen, Jackie)
Iron Fisted Monk (Sammo)
Magnificent Butcher (Sammo)
Pedicab Driver (Sammo)
The Legend is Born has better fight scene than ip man because the main actor is a wing chun practitioner whereas donnie only learns wing chun if a role requires it.
Anyone here seen Dragon Tiger Gate? Is it worth giving it a watch?
And yet ironically the Donnie Yen series get much higher acclaim and recognition for the Wing Chun and fight scenes…
I found it decent enough. If you can suspend disbelief, the plot and motives are pretty clever. I liked the fights and I usually don’t like wire work.
it sucks.
Yeah it was pretty sick, and I loved the plot twist they thru in. I had a feeling it was gonna happen but they played it very well. Yeoh still got it though, she needs to make some more movies.
Hey bitches, you guys need to see Bangcock Knockouts, just make sure its not the porn version haha
The cage match is so fucking full of win, i haven’t watch an MA film in a long ass time that just went all out…This type of film reminds you of the old 80s hong kong films where stunt mens & crazy inventive shit happens. The ending got a bit over the top but fuck it movie was dope…Go see it!
HAHAHAAA, BANGCOCK. Sounds like a Thai gay bar.
what happened that spawned the Jackie and Sammo fallout?
Creative differences pretty much…
