I play Cable/Spidey/BH sometimes. Spidey’s Capture assist is his best one hands down. Web Swing is okay but he can get tagged unless you cover his ass.

Yeah, I never have him web swing - only to finish combos. Spidey has a fast capture but so does T.Bonne, that’s why I play both for pretty good results.

Anyone know the specific timing for ruby heart’s ball super when you want to change the direction? I mostly have trouble doing it the first time you change directions. Say launch into sj. hp xx super, tap up-right with hp. I can get it by double tapping hp, but I was wondering if you can do it just by tapping once and on which part of the super do you tap hp?

You only have to press Hp once with the direction you want.
You can aim it 5 times - 4 when you include the first forward. 15 hits in total - 3 with each redirect.
Try doing a slow count - as soon as it hits wait a sec/sec and a half before aiming again.

You can do her ball super at sj height a different way - f, b (instead of u/f),f, u/b, d/f, juggle with Lp, mp, qcf +HP… into ball super again.
Having a Dreamcast helps ALOT - I was using her for a long time b4 I got a DC - being able to practice it in training mode is a must.
I’m assuming your’ve seen magnetro vid right?

Charlie/Samurai/WM user here.

Although lately i have been trying out Commando in place of WM, without anti-air assist. I use ground(projectile) instead. Commando is underrated because most who pick him are too tempted to only rely on him for his assist, and not give the character itself much of a chance on his own.

In case anyone is wondering i pick projectile instead of anti-air, because AA is a Top assist, and any “low-tier” team with commando as their backbone for assists, is not really low-tier as all.

Much the same way any “low-tier” team w/Tron assist, is NOT really low-tier either. Those of you know who ya are, quit fooling yourselves.

but they aren’t top or god-tier

just mid…those assists still aren’t good enough to bring those teams way up there.

you’re team is pretty much mid-tier anyway. if not high-mid tier.

yes captain commando is very good, can be very hard to play against on point…especially when down to the last characters.

Um… hehe, yeah. I do have a dc so practice is there. Thanks for the tip Augmint.

Currently using Venom/Cable/Doom. Venom’s ghetto tri-jump is too good. It’s like SJXX Air Dash X Venom Fang which is awsome because it’s has ZERO recovery. Not even Magneto can punish you afterwards. :lovin:

I was going to go in depth with how many ways this post is wrong and silly, but thats a lot of work.

I’m just going to say it’s wrong, and silly, and move on.

Not God or top, but not low-tier either. When you’ve got a ‘low-tier’ team backed by a Top Tier assist, it is not low anymore. And yes, a Top assist brings what would otherwise be a low team, up quite a bit. Especially Capcom and T-bone assists.

A true low-tier team does not use Top-tier assists. Period.

Charlie is low-tier, Samurai is higher to an extent but still in the low-tiers range, and commando without his AA assist falls to bottom mid-tier at best(which is being nice). Even then you have to be making the absolute best out of what commando can do, otherwise nadda.

If I wanted to try out Morrigan, who do I team her up with? In 1 I could dominate but 2 is very complex with all the assist and such.

How do I use Sakura? :wonder:

Dash Type, use a good capture like Spidey or Tron to make her effective. Doesn’t really have great supers so you may dark sakura just because…

I hear Dark Sakura is kinda wasting 3 levels of meter…speaking of Tron that brings up my next question. How do I go around using her? She looks like a solid character.

First off, you can combo into both her supers, during her dashing shoryuken and it’ll hit. I think she can combo into super fireballs off a launcher too. So combo ability with supers is ok.

Her air fireballs are deceptively useful. At first they seem like total crap, but do provide a good anti-air solution. Especially for flying sentinels, and the fireballs are large and likely to hit.

Dark sakura transformation is sad because it requires 3 supers to do, sad because it seems pretty useful despite needing the meters. Her “ryu-beam” super can be comboed into and does nice damage. The air fireballs can be shot many times before hitting the ground which looks like a neat tactic(think morrigan’s fireballs). Also gains her own raging demon attack.

Still…3 supers?! It is performed by dragon punch motion back+short kick.

Edit: Sakura’s dash assist is good and protects her at the same time. Like Captain America’s dash.

She is a good character, and not just because of her gay assist. Ok combo abilities, drill does good damage and chip, and her ‘lunchtime’ super does crazy damage too. Among other things, but i don’t know much since i’ve never seriously tried to play her before.

Also depending on what assist you pick, she does not need to connect with the little gun for the lunchtime super. Even when missed, the servebots will come out anyway. I’m pretty sure its when you select her grab assist.

Then again, there are a lot of useless Lv.3 supers in this game. Varies if the player finds them useful and when they are useful…

dark sakura’s teleport dash has 0 frames recovery and startup…aka you can teleport through ahvb’s and hailstorm’s and hsf’s and the spiral trap and…everything in the game…but the minute you mess up…you eat it, and she dies =)

There are quite a few that are useful and neat. This one? There is no possible reason why she should require 3 meters for the transformation. Sakura does not have a lot to work with anyway, that just adds insult to it.

What were the capcom guys thinking?

Have an assist who can help you combo her supers and try and use teams with good DHC’s.

Common teams -
Gambit/morrigan/cyclops or son son
Morrigan/sent/Tron or have storm instead of sent
Morrigan/storm/cyclops is good too.

they are all mid, even with tron/capcom…it doesn’t increase them to god or top status

charlie is not low tier…sorry, neither is samurai or commando. that’s a mid-high team.

none of the teams you mention is “truly low tier” anyway.

should just stop saying low-tier anyway…because it’s just mid/high anyway.
