I could have sworn save shifts can’t be done within someone’s super/ldm. I’m pretty sure if John had save shift available, the only reason he was able to get out of the duo lon combo was because the ldm finished. Also notice how the stun bar rejuvenates once in ldm mode. It’s the same thing with multi hit dm like duck. Cannot save shift out of that unless the person screws up the combo. Man, I thought this was old news.
Uhh…you can Save Shift out of activation LDMs like Ash’s and Duo Lon’s.
This has been common knowledge since like the first month.
Nope I can confirm this without question. Duo Lon’s LDM can be save shifted out of at any time as long as you have two skill stocks. This is the only drawback of the LDM, but still not enough to make Duo Lon Leader anything less than top tier. I recall having this discussion with The Triad like 3 years ago how they though Duo Lon Leader was B Class because you could Save Shift out of it.
Well we feel we know better now and that’s not enough to make him A/B Class. Think of Duo Lon’s LDM like a far far superior version of Vanessa’s LDM.
Yeah how I play DL Leader in Mexico vs. Kane9999 revolves around this aspect, I won’t hit him with a DL LDM if he has Save Shift and he the same with me because we both know that we can interrupt the LDM at anytime.
The way I play is I watch your skill stock and if you are:
- Not gonna gain two by the time I finish my LDM combo I do it.
- On your last character I do it. (Can’t save shift to anyone if your partners are dead!!! :lol: )
RJ if you watch that match again closely you’ll see the moment John Save Shifts out of the DL LDM Combo is the moment he gains two skill stocks…he can’t do it anytime before.
Now if I do a skull super before you fill up (hcbx2+p) to end my long DL Combo, you can’t save shift even if you have two skill stocks because it puts you in the air.

Anyone got strats on Whip? How do I play her? Can I combo into the HCF+K move? The one where she hit-grabs and stomps the shit out of them?

I see some good combos with Whip although admittley I don’t understand the notations yet because I haven’t memorized her movelists and command move(s).
Take a look at dark geese’s channel for current stuff he has on me also. I’m not sure if he’s grouped those vids yet (nuevo dvd sample vids?).
The move you’re talking about is hcb+C (63214+C). It can be combo’d with the first hit of far stand C. I think you should be able to end the combo with rdp+A/C (421+A/C).

I realize most SNK fighters only allow you to cancel command normals when you Cancel into them first, though so I’m betting nothing can be connected after it hits standalone?
Nah. Some characters can do a special after the command normal. Like K’ for instance.
