I wish I knew what each Kanji was but I’m guessing its like Light, Medium, Hard.

Each character page on that site has the movelist graphic that you would see on the arcade cab too…

that page has a typo though, it says guard cancel is 236, but it’s 623.

i guess this belongs here rather than into the other thread. btw, we should rename this one into “jojo in-depth gameplay discussion” or something.

I did some more research on Stand OFF Install - the install actually lasts forever, theoretically! At least until you activate your tandem or do certain moves (see below). To make a general statement, **everything that uses your stand breaks the install. **There are exceptions of course.

List of Moves that break Stand OFF Install:
DIO:

  • Stand ON

  • 236S

  • 236A/B/C

  • 214A/B/C

  • B,A,6,A,C
    Note: Dio’s Laser, Teleports, Steamroller and Knives do NOT break the install.

**major new find!

i finally figured out how to cancel 236S into Tandem with Dio.
**
What you need to do is a “rekka install” (sorry for using the word install for every other bug i figure out, lol).

  1. you do s.214A/B/C, but only one hit, not the full rekka series. doesn’t matter if it his.
  2. now you can cancel 236S into tandem at any time.
  3. if you cancel 236S into 214A/B/C, or do the full stand on rekka series, the install has to be repeated again.

technicially, my guess it that since any first rekka hit is tandem-cancelable, the property somehow is transferred to 236S if you don’t finish the rekkas series.

i might upload a vid tonight.

can’t we just link(or maybe combo) a tandem? i think after 236S we can combo 214A or a tandem.

cancelling into tandem is only possible with the rekka install. canceling into normal rekka from 236S is no prob ( but will reset the rekka install).

while i’m at it, i found another funny (but useless bug) with dio:

236 A+B+C+S. the next time you press S, a roll will come out instead, lol. you can’t attack or jump for this bug to work, only walk and crouch is allowed before you do it.

some new bugs and joseph trivia:

  • i did s.5C, 63214S,78C, then another 360 and drum ABCS and got joseph to freeze multiple times. not sure what the exact input is.

  • if you tandem close to the corner while new kak does his web fullscreen super, joseph will run into the wall without getting hit.

  • if you doubletap 2A (as quickly as possible), it will still register as a chain combo.

  • joseph can cancel his 236S into s.236A/B/C at any time.

  • joseph only needs 2 buttons to roll when his stand is active
    EDIT: oh, and his roll is vulnerable to hits =(

i finally found the** real **vanilla ice instant airdash shortcut:

6,S,9,S,6. (stand has to be on, initially. so it’s stand off, stand on again).

go forth and terrorize!
