Like I was alluding to in the Accent Core thread…depending on what exactly Arc Systems is planning to do, GG:AC and HnK PS2 may have to hold over people longer than they may have originally expected. Especially if Battle Fantasia on the Taito X2 is looking to be their “new baby” that’s going to hold a majority of their attention for quite some time. For the record, has Arc Systems had a falling out with Sega-Sammy or something? I mean, it’s one thing to see them moonlighting for another arcade board developer, but it’s another thing to basically see nothing new from them announced for their current(old?) flame either…
But any way…this is why I’m hoping that they’ll at least give HnK-PS2 a good deal of attention, especially if this might be a last go round, and we may not get to see Kaioh stomp all over the screen after all. Screw the arcade perfection, for once, I just want a better game overall…and with more characters, bgs and bgms, if it can be helped. :wgrin:
Shit, I hope the game doesn’t die this year, I’ve been waiting for so long to play it. I would think the console release would generate more interest sense there are a lot of people that dont have access to it who would like to play it. Anyone feel the same?
I don’t know what is up with Arc, but I haven’t heard any news yet so I’m guessing things are still as normal.
I hope Battle Fantasia isn’t their new baby… as much as I love the graphics of the game, it’s seriously the most boring as shit looking game, and already pretty much nobody cares or is interested in it. We got a grand total of 1 vid posted from the 3rd loke test of the game, and it looked pretty much the same as the last version.
HnK really just needed a little bit of tweaking to make it really good. It would really be a shame if they just got one game and that was it.
Souther might have something. Read the discussion about it in the Souther thread over at DL.
But true on Jagi. It doesn’t look like he has anything that might lead to an infinite. Still though, who knows. All the broken stuff the japanese found was totally unexpected.
Dude, I can tell you haven’t played against a really good Toki!
Against Toki’s onslaught even a DP or 6+CD counter can easily miss!
Against Rei, even if you have no DP and insufficient meter for the 6+CD counter, you can use Aura Guard to your advantage to push him slightly farther and give yourself room to counter with a move or to just jump away from the corner! Even better if you can Just Defend (blocking at the last moment, dunno what it’s actually called in this game!) at the same time to get some frame advantage. Also, believe it or not, some characters have normal frames that can hit Rei out of his IAD+B poke-fest (Raoh’s crouching A comes to mind).
I’d prefer a Rei match to a Toki one any day (unless the Rei I’m playing against is an ass who goes for the infinite DP glitch whenever he can, in which case both match-ups are just as bad).
DA GAME just ordered his copy & KOF XI.Does the PS2 have to be modded for both games? If so how can that be done? Also where can DG purchase the arcade guide?
