The New Fist of the Star/Hokuto no Ken thread

1. Those characters are pretty good to start. I started with Raoh and did some simple combos like d+Bx2, standing D, dp multihit, Dash boost, AC launcher, j. A, j. D, Spike Attack hcb+D, then do whatever after that.

2. The AI is stupid at times, they run away from you and do random CD attacks, you also tend to take more damage and kill the AI very fast, so you can’t practice long chain combos very good, but for PS2 you don’t have to worry about that.

3. Raoh is pretty easy, even when he does the Gill life recover super, he is still very easy, he is named Kenoh and has a new Large Beam super that he can also do in the air.

So the CPU takes less damage while you take more.That makes sense.Liek you said though with it coming to PS2,we won’t worry about that

Looks like you just button mash while in the corner…I think Souther and Jagi are the only chars without some sort of infinite.

i am so patiently waiting for this. ill be happy if they change the glitch shit, but i so want to be a part of this glitch party. shit looks just stupid fun breaking in characters and finding all this insane shit to do during play. oh well. ill take a game with less glitch shit and a few more characters(hopefully) and a practice mode amongst other shit, then nothing at all. plus its to late and impossible for me to bandwagon this shit now. seeing as though its nowhere around in maryland that i know of, and im stupid late in the game.

they fucking better not bust a tekken dr move, and make fun sick characters in tek5, into watered down shit heads. tone some shit down for some people, but dont rape them. i dont want to see toki go from ownage, to why play him. that will irritate me.

March 29th is the date. Hopefully they’ve made everything arcade perfect, even the glitches. They also better have put a lot of extras in there if they’re gonna sell it at such a ridiculously high price (7000 yen after tax). Games for ps2/3 cost way too much.

Good shit. Sammy/Arc has never put out a non-perfect console port have they? It does seem kind of odd how long this port took though.

Yeah that is odd for Arc-Systems to take WAAAAAY TO long to port over a game.Don’t be surprised if they wait until the last minute of the release date & say it’s for Japan only.

Of course this release date is for Japan only. I honestly don’t see this game being released for US ps2’s at all seeing as the Fist of the North Star brand isn’t popular. I’m pretty sure they held off the release of the game to coincide with the new Yuria Gaiden straight to DVD movie thats hitting Japan in March as well.

The game is a year old this month, not quite the two years you make it out to be. Keep in mind they have to work with Toei on the release date for this project, which probably explains the very delayed release.
