I don’t mean to be mean, but if u can’t notice lag ur brain isnt working fast enough to see it. I never noticed it for a long time but once I got back into fighting games and started to “think” in terms of frames, that causes the brain to start to work faster and started to noticed a tiny bit.
Anyone have much information about the Asus VH238H?
I know the evo 2009 vh236h is highly regarded but I haven’t seen much info on the vh238h. The test done on the vh238h by ComradeTao was inconclusive since he said he was having an anomaly with his graphics card. I couldn’t find any other information about this monitor on srk.
I was looking into buying a new monitor and hdmi splitter and didn’t want the lag to compound. Just wondering if I should get the vh238 which has the better backlighting or go w/ vh236. Thanks in advance guys.
Hey man, any news on how good this TV is yet?
It is on sale right now for $200 FS
ALIENWARE Dell Daily Deal AW2210 21.5" Full HD Widescreen Monitor with 3-Year Warranty : Monitors | Dell
I have a Panny TCL32X1 and my 360 hooked up via VGA cables. I was wondering what the proper display setings are on the 360. I have game mode on just wondering what resolution I should set the 360 to in the display settings menu.
^ Whatever the native res of the TV is. I think 720p.
I’m talking about the resolution for the VGA cables there are a buncha different options like xxxx X xxxx
The L32x1 is apparently 1366x768 native, so I’d be inclined to try 1360x768.
Do you guys know anything about the Samsung PN51D490A1D?
I tested with guitar hero 3 and it came out as zero lag, but obviously it isnt the most accurate test.
Are there any Samsung PDPs you guys can recommend?
For something big, it is.
Anything yet P Money?
Help me please
I need help with buying a new HD TV.
Right now i’ve got al LC32LE320 from Sharp. DVD and blu-ray quality is excelent so i would like to keep those if I buy a new tv. The problem is input lag, because it is noticible.
I’m looking for a HD TV that has very few input lag.
It has to be 100hz or more, and full HD.
Now i was thinking about the 32LE5300 from LG wich is a Full HD 100hz tv but i cant find enough info about the input lag.
i hope you guys can help me out and give me al the suggestions you have.
I live in Holland by the way and own a PlayStation 3
ASUS VH238H (LED Backlit)
LINK >>> Asus VH238H 23" 1080p HDMI LED Backlight LCD Monitor $130 after $30 Rebate
I would most definitely get this if I was anywhere NEAR a Fry’s if only to pick up a new 23" ASUS LED Backlit monitor for $130. If it then turned out to be laggy, then fuck it, return it…or just keep the damn thing since its pretty darn cheap anyways.
Someone earlier in the thread tested this monitor and reported a 10ms - 20ms input latency.Buuut it wouldn’t hurt to get some more feedback or testing on this monitor. Maybe try it with some different settings too.
hi there,
simple question:
i have an hd ready CRT tv and have my 360 connected via HDMI. does this also produce lag although it’s a crt?
if so, how would you best connect it (tv supports HDMI, SCART, YPRBR, Video, and S-Video)?
thx and greetings
So there is no HDTV that has low input lag like those CRTs, huh?
I noticed that when I was using my CRT to play SSF4, I was able to link pretty hard combos easily. But I just got this new TV, which is an HDTV 1080p and when I tested SSF4, I couldnt even link Ryu’s FADC Ultra properly. I knew something was wrong!
We’re in 2011, and there’s still no HDTV that have low input lag?
My new TV was just terrible, I would press “UP” to jump, and the character would jump an entire second after the execution.
Does anyone else here have the Asus VE245H? The only post about it in this thread was with RB2 results, which I don’t trust much due to human error.
I played on one at a tournament a while back and didn’t notice any lag, but I’d like to see if anyone has done any real tests with it. There are plenty of dealers in the SoCal area selling manufacturer refurbs for sub-$130, the specs are practically the same as the VW246H and VH236H so I’m surprised no one else has it for their set up.
If anyone’s daring to try it outside of SoCal I can pick one up for you to test <333
there’s plenty of HDTV’s with no or low input lag. you just don’t have one is all.
any advice on the CRT question?
thx again
does anyone know about the input lag of ASUS VH238T? i find VH238H but i’d like to know if there’s much difference between these two? thanks
Care to enlighten the world then?
Fact is, there are very few - and the ones that are low input lag (0-1 frames) are quite pricey.
Some of them are also using technologies that folks might otherwise not have - Plasma, 720p only resolution; essentially making them lesser TVs and more gaming setups. Why can’t we have the best of both?
No HDTV is lagless - if one were to crop up, the internets would explode and that manufacturer would win the hearts of gamers everywhere. That hasn’t happened yet.
