You can also counter demon chuns ultra after the animation freeze but the question is why? Metsu has an enormous amount of recovery frames. Take advantage then.

Just discovered(or not) st.LP stuffs chuns Hazan Shu(even ex) clean anywhere exept tip toe max range. And far st.Hp stuffs it from even farther range clean if timed right (as she’s coming down). U can mash jab if you like, but from far range HP MUST BE TIMED (its not strict tho at all).
This resets chun and you can go into a demon flip grab if she has no meter, dive kick if she does to stuff a sbk, etc. you get the picture.
I used in actual match and its very useful and made the matchup a lot easier as it can disarm a major pressure tool. If this is new stuff this should go in the original post.

^^ Teleport past his fireball and punish with combo of choice, it won’t work with ex fireball xus it recovers fast. If you walk foward sweep, depending on the angle you may trade, which is worth it if tou can spare the health. ex shoryu may connect if he’s close enough. it all depends on how he’s throwing his air fb

No. You do have to use judgement to read the situation. And as stated already it will sometimes trade, but in your favor (unless it kills you of course). It’s just another option. Not an ultimate fool proof punish. But it gives you a nontechable knockdown to build onto. When it does work.
its not the best way to punish it. I would do it when the opponents a good distance away and at the top of the jump. And yes the kkk teleport is the best one to use in this situation. You mainly wanna aim to teleport behind his back as he’s coming down from the air fb. if you recover before he does, he’s all yours.
sarda…walk him down…it’s not hard to jump over fbs…walk him into a corner and just sit at about timer’s distance away wait for him to teleport…punish…and then give him a dose of his own runaway medicine…if he sits in the corner nuetral jump air fb will keep him from anything tricky and dP any jumps over your fb’s…jump back fb akuma’s are pretty free…

Besides different travel speeds all of his hados (incl. EX) have the same properties (framedata). They all have a startup of 14 frames and recover in 44 frames.
With his red fb, the shakunetsu, there are different frames for recovery. EX and LP shaku have the same recovery with 50 frames. Only MP and HP version are even slower. But as you can’t see if it’s LP or HP shaku you can’t react accordingly and it becomes a guessing game. And u can’t afford guesses with Akumas stamina. So i’d say this is no good advice.

I’ll have to test it with a friend, but I’m pretty sure Akuma’s df divekick can’t stuff Balrog’s headbutt after an untechable. I tend not to safe jump anyway unless I have ample health because I don’t like relying on guessing games.
