In this video I see that you CAN do a tatsu sweep on fuerte. And in the match up it says you can’t. Am I wrong?

yo Darth we gotta get some games homie, haven’t played u in awhile. i should switch to ryu just to fight akuma
Yeah after sweep (at certain ranges) Demon flip Dive kick beats all of ryu’s dP’s and ex whiffs for another sweep once you teach them wake-up dP doesn’t work you can demon flip throw for x-up/anti-x-up air fb pressure or just any of the other vortex options…I just find that DF throws sets up x-up air fb best…and yeah Darth, fuerte has always been tatsu-sweepable…I don’t who said he wasn’t…It’s a really good tool against him…
Having real problems with Blanka right now. Just read up the match up info, I have learnt that Blanka without ex I can deal more damage on him. Quiet a few demon possibilities as well from what I have read so I will try those. Will update soon!
^I just picked up Cammy…problem solved lol…
I have a really hard time against charge characters (Chun, Balrog and Bison):
-don’t know whether to zone or rush
-all these characters have really good pokes, so I guess poking is a no-no?
-none of them have good wake-up apparently, should I advance after an un-techable knockdown?
I know I’m generalizing here, but this is the gist of it when it comes to me facing these characters.
Lol Bokkin I’ve seen some of your videos on the video thread and you really have a solid Akuma. Keep it up man!
hahahaha…best answer ever!
funny how you move from akuma to cammy and I move from cammy to akuma.
well my gameplan against most blanka’s is just to out turtle them. make them jump then c.hp, make them slide and the sweep. you can shoryu horizontal balls on reaction (includes ex) if his vertical /cross up balls are giving you problems then just teleport out, he’s gonna try to throw a lot once you shut his other options down so be on the lookout for that.
with akuma…if you’re playing a sensible blanka…If I get a knockdown I like to demon flip palm and wait for the ex upball…free sweep or demon…repeat until he is afraid to anti-air on wake-up…begin the crippled vortex that akuma has against blanka…very limited…but once you are in their heads don’t get out…also…don’t cHP blanka’s jump ins…you need to dP them specifically do a late crouching HP dP…you never want to give up free dmg against blanka…take anything you can get…
Yeah, Cammy is definitely anti-blanka; her wake-up goes right through his ultra. XD
I tend to turtle Blankas as well because let’s face it, Blanka is a bastard with too many shenanigans. Always make sure to ultra blocked balls (once your meter is full, Blanka is forced to use normals). I also like to cross him over with a j.lk because it stuffs his lightning and I also focus his jump-ins because his pokes are slow. And of course, teleport. Just don’t be predictable because his slide can still catch you.
It’s actually a combination of both. Personally, I don’t rush unless I have the opportunity to get in safely. For those three characters, I’ve found that poking is a major no-no, but there’s still ways to get some combos going. The only one you’re not going to want to jump-in on an untechable is Balrog because that headbutt is ridiculous.
Chun is very vulnerable to df dive kicks (it stuffs her spinning bird kick), so try to use that for your jump-ins. Ah and most are pretty predictable with their sweeps, so focus their asses. I don’t know what else to say though 'cause I honestly have trouble against Chuns too.
Balrogs tend to be very aggressive, so utilizing your focus is very important. Also, try to bait and punish headbutts. Another thing you can do is throw hadous and time an ultra when he tries to go around/through it. If Balrog’s in your face, NEVER jump back to get away. His headbutt will catch you every time because it’s so ridiculously gay. Teleport to safety, my friend and mix-up your zoning. There’s no shame in it because Balrog is pumped full of shenans and has unbeatable pokes.
I hate Bison. Focus the slide and the first hit of his head-stomp to build ultra. Pokes are a no-no. I’d recommend crossing him over with j.lp-fireballs and j.mks. He can’t deal with close jump-ins very well and air-fireballs interrupt his anti-airs (even his ultra) so be sure to utilize them. You can also focus his scissor kick if he starts it up far enough. Other than that, all of his other moves are completely safe on block.
Balrog can be safe jumped all day. So I don’t know what you are talking about Kumer about not being able to jump in on a nontechable knockdown. Headbutt has lots of startup. Also the crossup tatsu ~ sweep works pretty well. but he does hurt when he hits, so careful route is not a bad idea.
Fuck you for being on Xbox Darth. Fuck that.
Is the window for tatsu > sweep on Balrog tighter than usual?
the c.HP is alot easier to do though. at least for me
I got severe trouble against viper, any good tips against a good-great viper player?
^against viper…
learn how to lk tatsu-sweep
learn safe jump-opselects
neutral jump HK is beastly
always get out of the corner
cMK ducks burning kick
f+MP beats ex sesimo on their wake up (hilarious)
don’t ever hold jump back when getting pressured just teleport and mix it up (PPP/KKK)
doesn’t matter what’s easier…it matters to how the match-up should be played…you’re loosing dmg by doing cHP
it’s the same idea when it comes to lk tatsu…yeah against when playing dhalsim it’s easier to HP srk but sweep is a better option because of positioning and the un-techable…just because something is easier doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do
i dont know if u guys will believe me or not but go test it out
but akumas ultra will beat out ryus ultra on wakeup if u do the ultra before he does his metsu hadoken
keep in mind u need to be rite next to him on wakeup
woops
