Lol nothing will ever top whatever balls the production team had to go to a network and say. “let’s make the toxic avenger a kids show”
There is literally a scene in the movie where a teen tries to hit minorities for points with his car

I’m on episode 3 and so far is it’s pretty fucking awesome.
What I will say is that it seems to jump between time periods with 0 fanfare and it’s a little confusing. That would be my one complaint so far.
Also not sure why they changed Dandilions name to Jaskier. Didnt even use his in universe real name. Kinda random. Good casting tho.
Damn it, yall stop watchin & wait for me to get home from work, lowdown bitches
I have to stop now to go to work…such pain. Oh well only 3 hours.
Because only in America is his name dandillion. Theirs a behind the scenes videos on Netflix that explained it. Everywhere else is jaskier.
insightful
Witcher is awesome, that is all.
I was on the fence about Cavill as Geralt, but he definitely seems to have nailed it, even sounds like him. I’ll wait til im further in before I fully judge tho
I just finished it.
I really liked it. The adaptation of the short stories was great and I think almost all the casting is spot on. Only one that bugs me a little bit is Yen. She’s a good enough actress, she’s just not pretty enough imo. I know its shallow but she’s supposed to be a stunner and this girl doesn’t do it for me. The previous mentioned time jumps with 0 warning are my only other complaint. It can make it confusing and kind of annoying. It’s a minor gripe to me but I’ve read the book, I could see it being more confusing for others.
Otherwise im pretty happy as hell about it. I really enjoyed watching it. Caville is perfect as Geralt, I like the actress for Ciri so far, outside of looks Yen is great. Jaskir is perfectly cast. I’m stoked for season 2. Honestly couldn’t be happier.
Goddamn, this shit brutal, hella gore. Wasnt especting that much
Yea that really caught me off guard in episode one. They really dove in head first with the violence.
Just watched a few eps of Astronomy Club. For a quick laugh, I say it’s worth a watch. The first ep had me rolling.
Just finished watching the first episode of the Witcher and I gotta say
that this is exactly what Ive expected from this show.
The acting is great, the music fits perfect, the chosen areas giving you the vibe of the game, the CGI is really solid and the fights are well made, brutal and of high production value.
Thanks to Netflix for making this show this great, I cant wait to watch all the other Eps now!
I’ve only watched the first 5 episodes so far (gonna finish up when I lay down for the night) but I think the show is pretty good. It’s not anything to write home about. Seems like Netflix wanted their own Game of Thrones so it focuses a lot of the wars between kingdoms and explaining the lore of the world. Would have been nice to have a few episodes of Geralt going around hunting monsters before it got into all of that.
I’ve only read a couple of the books and played the games but it seems to be picking some of the most popular storylines and weaving them together into one narrative. It works for the most part but by doing so the timeline is all out of wack and the show doesn’t do a good job of explaining when scenes are talking place. For example a storyline might be going on for an episode or two before you realize all the events took place 10 years in the past and it has no correlation with other events in the episodes.
Triss and Yennefer aren’t hot so I give the show 1 out of 5 stars.
Yen is good. Triss is very meh and I wonder if the show will ever reach the point where they both are together for a bit. Maybe just skip it because I don’t care to see her titties.
I liked the show, but yeah it did get confusing at first because they didn’t mention anything. Basically Cirilla’s scenes are present time, and Geralt/Yen are in the past.
Anyways I think they may have jumped time with Yen too fast. She didn’t really do much to make us believe she was one of the best students and/or how she became so good at commanding people ontop of the tower. S1 needed a couple more episodes probably, but I’m excited for S2.
Pretty good but they really messed up the story telling with the time skipping, very frustrating.
Really impressive with Cavil’s sword skills, first fight with multiple enemies left me grinning from ear to ear, nobody looked like they were holding back with their swings.
Once I finished I understood why they did the time skip stuff, but there were legit episodes where I paused and went “wait, hol up a minute” and had to think. One time I had to shrug and keep watching and it sorted itself out but still had me wtf-ing for a moment there.
It was definitely jarring at first, I appreciated what they did once I got to the last episode.
Yea my feelings on it pretty much went 180 once I saw the point if it in the last episode. After that I was like “alright, I get it, i see what you are doing” leaving my only concern about it being that it will confuse and maybe even turn off some people before they get to that 8th episode. Otherwise I think it ended up a pretty brilliant move overall.
