I know what you mean about Mai. There’s a couple of Mexican NGBC vids floating around on youtube, both of them using Mai. And hold crap, she is good. So maybe the B and C classes should look more like this?

Yeah all Geese has mainly is his corner loops and his weak ass wanna be RB2 far St. D cancel tricks…other than that he is weak as hell.

That C Class looks about right with the exception of Iori and lee…Iori is safe on many things like rekkas…super easy links and easy to win with…Lee is more or less the same except more tricks…and fast as hell…

Man I wish we could play…we could help each other figure this thing out…
Robert and Haohmaru could go either way…A or B class so that is one that fluctuates.

As a diehard Kisarah player I think C Class is perfect for her.I see C Class as a whole as being the class where it takes a lot of effort to win with…and Kisarah takes a lot of work to win with…but she is surely deadly as hell in the right hands…

Cyber Woo is a beast ,C Class seems about right…but the beauty of this game is that there are great matchupsin the game…I dunno if you can necessarily say because Big matches up bad against Hotaru he should be lower class…

Bc I could say kim has a hard matchup with CyberWoo…should that put Cyber Woo higher than kim??

I’m kinda basing my ideas off what I see. So, I’m trying as best as I can, lol. Perhaps, I should knock Kim down to A tier and just leave Hotaru alone in S Class. Because you have a point with that. It’s just the thing that keeps BIG from being S is that he has his bad matchups, while Hoataru, and Kim (for the most part, hence why he’s lower than Hotaru) don’t loose often or at all. Kim also has mad safe pokes and strings. Now, with Iori and Lee. I honestly can’t say I have seen many people use him, I blame the orange explosion on his Maiden Masher for that one. And with Lee, the thing is that he is insanely weak in the damage department. Sure he’s fast, but unless you’re always doing long combo strings, he just can’t dish it out. Not to mention, he can’t seem to take pressure well…or at least from what I’ve seen. Also, you say you live in Dallas, I live in McKinney, so I’m only about 30-45 minutes from Downtown Dallas. Maybe we can try and work something out. But I live with my mom, so you’ll have to put up with that. :wink:

Eh, that tier listing is weird.

Kaede doesn’t deserve to be in A tier. He has HOLES that are pretty big at times. It’s his massive damage potential and his annoying tricks that make him competitive, but that doesn’t deserve him a slot with the likes of Big and Marco. Believe me, I thought Kaede was disgusting at one point, but after playing a long time with SieClayton, I’ve found that if you just be patient, you can punish Kaede hard and prevent him from doing anything scary.

Why on earth is Washizuka so high? He is bare bones as hell. If you can get in on him and he doesn’t have meter, he is toast. There are way better characters than him (Haohmaru plz). Genjuro is also too high.

Mizuchi and Iori are WAY too low (especially Iori, he is disgusting and deserves B tier at least).

This is just off of the top of my head. You seem to be giving certain low-tiers more credit than they deserve. Gimmicks are gimmicks, in the end.

Hey Turbo, care to give me some Akari tips?

She’s part of my team, I’m trying to better understand how to play this game, and I could use all the help I can get. I figured out a few combos with her, but other than that there’s parts of her command list that I don’t understand at all.

Akari tips I can give you (basic ones for starts)…how I play her at least…her command grab is your friend…hcb+p.

It can even be comboed…creating a nice mixup in the corner:

st.ax2xxcommand grab, or command grab by itself.

If you are good at anticipating things use her parries, it is good to use.

She has some of her LB combos that revolve around st.ax2xxback+C and she can cancel her Down+C uppercut normal into another uppercut or into a super.

Here is a bnb super combo to know if you have level one- d,u+Dx2 (does an add-on at the end) immediately do her qcbhcf+C super bc it OTG’s if done correctly.

Her Ghost Train super is very good to use as an AA and in the corner can combo during that mixup I gave you with st.ax2xxdown+CxxGhost Train level 2 super.

She also has this sick “guardcrush” (Did I say that word?? yes I did…:rofl;)
mixup…master cr…c into her running move (qcb+k) into another Cr.C and repeat…it is good to work on the opponents guard meter. Be careful about using her teleport moves…know exactly what you are doing…don’t just do it for kicks…they can be risky if not used properly. RDP+p?(or K not sure) move makes a Yin Yang appear and screws up the opponents controls…it takes some meter so I’d rather just stick to the bnb.

Also for lows in the mixup I listed cr.b links into command grab also or her combos.

Another good normal to use with Akari is Far St. D…its a pretty good normal to use… (her jump kick)

If you get a parry just for kicks do her HCF+AB (I think attack) to summon Juzoh and bat the opponent.

EDIT: Turbovec…yeah Lee is weak…certainly…he is more Gimmicks than anything else IMO. I am shooting at going up to your place to play sometime next week to get some quality games of NGBC in or something.

And about Mizuchi and Iori…yeah I agree too low…Mizuchi IMO is a b tier in the right hands…he has a good amount of priority…

Rock needs to be D Class with Geese…bc like father like son…seriously…only way Rock can do serious damage is in the corner…like Geese.

About Washizuka…yeah he is a good counter character but he still needs some work…man we need to play Turbo bc I play with everyone man…you’ll be able to get a good feel for the characters etc. Bc I know not being able to play many people

It sucks ass and you gotta do the best you can.

Hanzo and Fuma need to be B Class both of them…they both compliment each other rather well…They are mid tier at best…And both practically the same and have their attributes…

I agree with Neo Dio being C Class…he has excellent offense…but his defense sucks.

And Kaede does have holes…esp right after you block his qcb+C and parry the last hit of it…:badboy:

I disagree with both Hanzou and Fuuma being B tier, Fuuma is not as good as Hanzou IMO. He does damage, but he is so linear. Hanzou is actually pretty tricky and is a great leadoff character.

That tier list sucks…

Fuma can be played pretty very safe and once he gets you in the corner there goes at least 15-20% of your health if he connects the combo. A st.axxhcf+D blocked is safe and they have to f,f to go around it…if not Fuma can whore it all day…

I think they both have their toss ups…

I agree Hanzo is trickier/has better supers and Fuma is very linear…point blank stuff everyone knows you are going for.

That’s just the thing though, even Fuuma’s damage avenues are linear and all originate from landing his hcf+D, which still doesn’t get him much midscreen stuff and is hard to actually hit someone with. He has to get you into a corner to be scary at all, and his ability to actually control someone’s movement on screen is much worse than Hanzou’s. His only real advantage is that he has a better crossup and his combos don’t use meter, but I don’t use Hanzou for his combo damage ANYWAY, I think he’s good because he controls the match better and lands hits easily. His stand A is better than Fuuma’s, you can duck Fuuma’s stand A. Fuuma is just too gimmicky to me, just whore the same combo over and over, assuming you can actually land it.

Ai and Yuki needa be higher up. Espeically Ai. Yuki is better than Asura and Athena.

Yuki is garbage. So is Asura, but he’s less smelly garbage.

Yuki is too dependant on his powerups. All Asua has are his arrows, if anybody gets close to him he’s toast

At least Asura can actually do some damage, plus he’s decently equipped to keep someone away from him.

Not trying to say he’s good, but he’s better than Yuki. Yuki ain’t shit, even with powerups.

Asura can fight up close…you’ve just never seen anyone do that probably…
I agree about Fuma being more gimmicky.and Hanzo being better in that regard…and yep Hanzo’s st. a is better than Fumas…

Yuki better than Athena?? hahah…I guess you guys havent seen what a REAL ATHENA CAN DO…Very few have…

ArcadeFire, it’s alright that you think my tier list sucks. I posted it just so people could start discussing. As for Yuki, everything he has is situational. All of his long combos require mad setups that almost never happen. And Fuuma is definately worse than Hanzo. Sure, Fuuma can chain 3 of his specials together, but everything else is just…bleh. Hanzo on the other hand is a nice, solid design, with nice teleport tricks, a good projectile, a few strings, and an awesome air normal. Plus, he also has that bitchn’ level 2 SC…even if it isn’t very useable, it still is pimp.

I have played people who try to play Asura as rushdown, and it seems pretty futile to me. First off, he is SLOW. Like, slower than molasses, that kind of slow. Some of his normals have good priority, but he really just doesn’t seem scary up-close, even with a command grab cuz it takes meter. It’s like, I don’t see Asura pressuring anyone, he doesn’t have the capability to maintain an offensive sequence against someone. He is a keepaway character, he is good at keepaway, but that is all he really is in the end.

Damn man you NC people…I guess NC is the NGBC state…damn I need to make some trips up there!
