It seems like when I block low I still end up getting hit by one of his standing attacks.
no he doesn’t. although jumping :l: can work as an instant overhead and be comboed. not sure if its character specific.
instant :l: only works on taller characters like ironman/capt/dorammamu/sent/hulk/thor so on.
Lol no he doesn’t though you would think watching his Standing H that it would be seeing as how it’s a massive overhead smash yet it gets blocked by crouching characters.
If you have Hulk on point how do you approach him?

I love Hulk, but does he have a place in high end play ?. I find after maybe 3 - 4 games, most people quickly catch on to blocking Hulk quite easily, and punish him heavily, if they don’t know how already. He’s not very easy to mix up and confuse another player with, like the rest of the cast.
after learning how to actually use hulk i’m starting to think that hulk is a lot better than i originally thought. every time an opponent blocks a gamma charge anti-air they are officially in a mixup situation where the advantage lies with hulk.

I definitely agree. I love heavy hitters to begin with, and Hulk has a lot going for him. I’ve recently discovered the joy of cancelling s.H into normal gamma charge OR gamma charge anti air, which turns your heavy ending lag into a mix-up. That advantage on block is so awesome, it does wonders for Hulk.
I’ve been playing Hulk for a while and I’m realizing that the way I use him is pretty scrubby. I’ve gotten so many wins just using his s. H that it’s not even funny. Now that I actually have some smarter competition and people are blocking me, I have a hard time setting up an offense. I know that I’m supposed to threatten people with his command throw but the darn thing has such god awful startup that I’m having a hard time using it. How do you guys set up command throws with Hulk?
You can cancel your Standing H or Standing M into it if you think they will block your s.H also depending on your assist you can bait their block and hit your command throw. Like if your using Doom missles and your near them they will usually just block so before missles hit you can command throw them. You could also try AA gamma charge LH and if they block your at +5 so you could go for a command throw.

Hello all, new to this thread. I have read a bit about creating frame traps with Hulks AA (lh) gamma charge. What are some of the best setups for this? Does it only work with the AA charge? After you set the frame trap what are your options? Thanks all, keep smashing.
I’m confused. Not seeing how that is in anyway possible. For starters, at the risk of sounding dumb does M even cancel into H? I’ve never seen that before…
this is written very poorly at best and is completely impossible. even if you misspoke and didn’t mean MH there is no way that you can loop soft bounces and 300k per launch is a terrible damage output.
