I was looking and have tried that team but how did you deal with Amaretsu? She seems to pick apart all 3 of them which is a big reason I’m looking into getting at least one more conventional character instead like Dante or Mag. You know if there’s any videos of you playing on Youtube from FR?
Ama can tear my team up, but one hit with any character and she’s dead thanks to powerful DHC’s. MODOK is the go-to character against Ama though (although the matchup still isn’t good). He has better mobility and can shield up against ice spam. Shield -> Sent assist drones -> MODOK superjumps in locks her in one place. If she tries to rush in, Hulk assist takes a decent chunk of her health too.
If Hulk is in, jump cancelled dashes are used to get in on the dog. Sent drones are used sparingly since ice spam will be used. If Hulk gets one hit off, Ama is dead.
Doom missiles tear the team apart too. Still looking at solutions for that.
I don’t think there are any videos of me playing MvC3 at FR. I had some great, close matches too.
Nice find. Not only the damage is better it’s also a little bit easier to hit them with gamma charge than walk up c.:h:. From s.:h: it deals 777k damage and from a j.:s: around 830k.
I’m getting really consistent with that combo. 777k damage anywhere on the screen with one bar is awesome and if you take them to the corner you can go with standard c.:h:, :s:, j.:h:, j.:s:, wave :l: xx qcb+:atk::atk: for 880 to 950k damage.
Hulk without otg assist is really missing on his damage potential.

I figured out how to beat Tron with ease today. He cannot get in on Hulk at all. S.MP just completely stuffs him. Most of the time I had Sentinel still around so between Sent Charge and G.Wave it forced Tron to try and do his air jump drill thing and S.Mp just completely shut him down 100% of the time. Even if I didn’t have Sent just G.Wave or blocking was enough that I could run the clock and Tron doesn’t have any moves on ground or air that can beat S.MP. Shit was pretty sad. Definitely a matchup in Hulk’s favor.

I find myself not using gamma charge(not anti-air). Just wondering how everyone feels about it. I usually just use jump canceled dashes with assists covering me for mobility. Should I be using it for mobility? or just in combos? Maybe to cover blocked standing C?
For Gammacharge I won’t use it for basic mobility because you can get punished far too easily if you rush in with a move like that. Its useful in combos, midrange mixup, and the mobility aspect of staying in close after a throw or knockdown.
What’s the best way to get around Hulk’s standing C? My friend feels like it’s really outrageous because Hulk can watch for a jump in or dash and just quake afterward for safety if blocked or hit-confirm into launcher into death. What are the vulnerable points on the move (start up and cool down, although cool down is special cancel-able) on the move and what are specific counters?
Just block. Hes wasting meter if hes burning it on Gamma Quake to make himself safe afterward. What team are you playing?

I really think hulks biggest strength is his ability to zone. That and armor.
I meant the meter-less ground rip. The person wants to know how to get attacks in… I just said use assists and time it or just get in close enough but the person is just saying that I’m always going to make it safe.
Can someone please give me input on how to reliably connect an otg assist (Wesker or whoever) after Hulk’s standard air combo? I’ve tried it every which way I can think of, including delaying the combo or delaying each individual hit so that I’m as close to the ground as possible before smacking them down with j.S. But unless they wind up at least somewhat NEAR the corner, either the otg shot comes as they’re already getting up, or it comes out too early and too far away to hit them.
ogrimtitan, you’re not supposed to OTG with an assist after a standard combo, unless you do it near the corner. In those situations you should just dash -> jc Gamma Tsunami after you land.
So what are you otg’ing from besides corner combos?
You’re not right. That’s some day one stuff you’re talking about. With proper otg assist Hulk can extend his combos anywhere on the screen.

Just FYI, since the Nerf Hammer was dropped on a certain Mutant-Hunting Oversized Android, It pushes Hulk up to 2nd place on the Health List, right behind Thor. Just something to remember when you need to select someone durable…
Also, we can now kill Sent in one combo, assuming you’re using good assists.
not sure if it’s posted or not but i started using this combo as my bnb. it does ~530k damage without meter off of j.s.
j.s, wait, j.a, j.b, delayed j.b, land c.c, s, j.b,b,c,s. you can gamma wave after into gamma crush if you are in the corner.
random combo vs sent if he’s crouching - i saw similar combo before but forgot who. 600k without meter.
j.a, j.c, falling j.b, j.a, j.c, j.s, c.c, s, j.bbcs.
you can probably optimize it more for more damage especially since i don’t know how to use his gamma charge moves in combos but they are relatively easy combos.
his snapback whiffs on crouchers, but it hits if it’s combo’ed (weird as hell). any combo into s -> snapback works. frankly i find almost no use for snapbacks because the meter is much better spent just doing massive damage. it’s not like mvc2 where you have guard breaks or crazy unblockables so letting someone come in isn’t that beneficial even for phoenix.
