That dash thing is awesome. Hulk was in need of some nice mix up.
Air Gamma Charge (edit: nevermind lol) looks filthy, and being able to charge away in the opposite direction on block is nice too. I wonder if any supers or IADs will be able to catch him.
Was Hulk’s hop always that fast? He can clear the screen in seconds, and you can use it to cross up. I think I might be imagining things, but for some reason I also remember him having a short jump? I’m probably wrong though, I might just be confusing it with close to the ground j. Cs.
I think Hulk looks very solid.

I dunno, the retreating charge is really fast. If it’s possible to punish, I think it’s gonna be a very small list.
And I do wonder if horizontal Gamma Charge is a better assist than vertical. Horizontal seems to allow for combos since it’s multi-hit.

If you look at the damage, literally, 90% of the damage came from those two supers.
How long have posters here been asking about that Gamma Quake XFC Gamma Crush combo? How long? It’s about fucking time!!

Holy crap, Hulk is a BEAST! This is amazing! Looks like an easy set up as well… only drawback is that it can only work in a corner?
Considering his command throw will catch opponents at the peak of their jumps, I’d say that’s not much of a drawback. This set up is far from situational, I feel like if this were to stay in the final build, you’d see it a fair bit. How do you avoid Hulk’s command throw? I imagine you can back dash it, or tag it with a reversal.
The guy that uploaded the vid confirmed that his throw is unblockable. If that 100% is corner-only, that combo could be a monster if you can set it up on a character coming in (e.g. post-snapback or after a character dies) by dashing underneath them and throwing. Otherwise, at mid-stage, the throw by itself plus Tsunami (plus optional DHC) is still gonna be real solid damage.
But really, I feel like the throw is the inconsequential part of this combo. The most important part is Quake XFC Crush, which, again, was 90% of that 100%.
Hulk should be able to do:
…and still get 100% or close to 100% damage. None of those scenarios are gonna be rare.
In the older games it was blockable, but we don’t have confirmation yet if its still that way or if its a real throw now. I will say with my experience that the range is greatly shortened, so maybe it is.
How likely is it that this will be removed from the final build? I almost want this to stay secret until Spring 2011.
EC got that ninja edit in, which I’m sure you’ve seen by now, but it is indeed an unblockable command grab. And I’m not sure what you mean by its range being greatly shortened; greatly shortened from MvC2 or between MvC3 builds? Because like we’ve seen, it can catch opponents in the air and on the ground.
And thank you for the great match footage on the front page, there’s really been a shortage of solid Hulk play.

I have no clue. I can see damage being toned, but I could also see it staying the same because “it’s mahvel.” As for secret, I mean, that combo isn’t amazingly inventive or anything. I (as well as others) have theorized it as soon as I saw that a DHC’d Quake still allowed the rocks to fall down, which was months ago. If I lived near any one of the venues, that combo would’ve been one of the first things I would’ve tried.
Side note: I hope the saltiness I have for the non-usage of Hulk/Thor/<insert unused character here> players is showing pretty hard with that. I can guaran-damn-tee that Thor has a 100% combo as well. A dirt-easy one that wouldn’t even require XFC. But fuck experimenting. Let’s do that Dante/Skrull combo for the 8375835th time!!

I do think Thor will need XFC to get 100% (if he even has one). Shit I imagine tornado super, xfc, tornado super will be stupid good damage by itself.

I just realized that both Thor and Hulk moves are really annoying with the constant “Gamma” and “Mighty.”
