Does the rock fall super still do really shitty damage? That’s my main concern. I do think that rock fall super could have some potential XFC shenanigans, like what was posted a few pages back. (super, XFC, hop to other side of opponent–assuming his dash will hop to the other sidde of the opponent like Blanka’s).
Why would you assume that?
From this post:
Unless I’m reading it wrong? Or Rojo is making up stuff?
I kind of doubt it will, but I’ll be happy if it does.
I’m also wondering if Launcher --> Gamma Quake --> KFC --> Gamma Crush is going to work. It could be juicy~.
That was the big combo I was thinking of, as well. If Gamma Quake does even close to as much as damage as Crush, that could be 60-70% combo. It would be even better if you could do something like Wolvie air-combo xx Fatal Claw DHC Gamma Quake XFC Gamma Crush. It would be three meters, but it could also be potentially 100% damage against the right character.
I also wonder if s.C is jump-cancellable or hit-confirmable to Gamma Charge. s.C seems awesome, but the recovery looks atrocious.
I’m really hyped that Hulk might end up being a good character this go-round.
Now I’m wondering why Hulk has no move that fully utilizes his HUGE body for range like Rufus c.hp.
I’m pretty sure I remember hearing that s.C causes an un-techable bounce. So maybe change that combo so it starts with a magic series?
I hear that s.C has armor, but I haven’t heard if his other normals have armor or not. Plus, s.C’s range is awesome; seems a bit better than s.A.
My thinking is, instead of trying to do the standard ABC magic series (that may not have armor and doesn’t have the best range) for confirming to combo, you could just fish for standalone s.C. If s.C is blocked, jump-cancel or Gamma Charge (if Charge is indeed safe). If it hits, Charge xx Super.
That’s my super-early pointless theory fighting, anyway. I wish I could make it that ATL Fight Club.
The new video’s on the SRK front page show a couple of interesting things:
- Hulk does stupid damage when he has X-factor, two C’s did almost a fourth of Super Skrull’s health in.
- Gamma charge does great chip damage now that it’s a multiple hitting special.
- Gamma charge seems pretty safe, no punish and even if there was the window was pretty damn small.
Hulk I am proud.
Nice, Gamma Charge seems like a big part of Hulk’s game, kinda reminds me of Potemkin’s Hammerfall. Except… better.
I didn’t see that in the vid. The Hulk player was spamming both charges and got punished every single time; the followup is definitely not safe.
Question.
Is his command grab not blockable?
That would be a huge buff and actually logical for Hulk.
As an FYI, I’ll be playing a lot of Hulk at SoCal Regionals, and I’m really planning on trying the combo I have mentioned above. Great Scott I’m excited!
Please check if command throw is blockable.
Ask the opponent to let you test it if possible.
Hahaha, I don’t know if that’ll fly, but I can throw a bunch out a random. Eventually at least one has to connect, and at least one of them has to get blocked.
Is easy.
You tell whoever to let you check something real quick and to stand block.
If he blocks it, nothing happens. If it connects, you let him hit you to make it up but you are +1 on mindgames from then on. :badboy:
Just tell the guy you want to see what you moves are really quickly and that he needs to block, then immediately dash over and grab him. It doesn’t really matter if he is pissed at you lol.
Hahaha, you guys are right! Great strategy! I think I’ll be able to bring a camera too, so expect some kind of (maybe bad, its a friend’s camera) quality videos!
No, that did work in the sdcc build. And rocks don’t do that shitty damage in MvC2, it could be your timing if you’re not getting most of them to hit.
So gamma charge is safe now? Or is it just the a follow up? Still, I would rather have it do damage and be combo-able.
GC is his ticket to being a huge asset right now. He has insane damage, great durability, and useful assists/hypers. Now all he needs are safe ways to get in. I hope it’s safe now! (Make sure you check both versions, the charge AND the follow up!)
Also AA charge with downforward follow up looks safer than the forward charge right now…
