Those 2 aren’t even scratching the surface. The Alpha 3 soundtrack has some amazing music with inspired melodies. Karin, Gen, Sakura, Chun, Guile, Ken, Akuma, Shin Akuma, Birdie, Bison (both of them), Balrog, Juni/Juli, and so many more delicious themes! It was bold and very much unique to the game. It didn’t try to be like other Street Fighter OSTs. I don’t get the complaints that all the tracks sound the same, because they sure as hell don’t to me. They sound like they were made by the same composer yes, they also all sound like they belong on the same album. But that’s it. Most of the songs have their own flavor.

Obviously not EVERY song is terrible. But in a game with, like, 50 songs in it, there’s maybe 3 good ones. Ryu’s theme is definitely one of them. I like Vega’s and Cammy’s too.

Exactly! That’s why I appreciate Alpha 3 soundtrack treatment. They ventured making themes totally unprecedented in a relatively conservative franchise. Amid good and bad choices, I feel like EVERY decision fitted well. I mean, each theme fits like a glove for its respective characters.

You know, I’ve always wondered why characters don’t get alt themes like stages, whether it be another remix of their SFV theme or a remix of a theme from another game entirely such as ‘The Road’ for Ryu, ‘Sharp Eyes’ for Ibuki and ‘Before Moon’ for Sagat (assuming should he ever get in the game as DLC).

No. Lots of people don’t like 3S’s music, and I’ve literally never heard ANYONE praise Alpha 3’s music till now.
SF4 is full of awesome remixes of lots of character’s classic themes. It’s got a few shitty ones too, but those are mostly because the original theme that’s being remixed also sucked, like Guy, Dan, and most of the SF3 characters.
And then there’s Sakura’s theme, which blew in Alpha 2, but was awesome in SF4.

Only good ones are Zangief, Fei Long, Adon, Cammy, and to certain extent Rolento, Hugo and Poison. That’s it. The rest of the character themes are utter shit

Tell me how Dudley, Makoto, Ken, Guile and Bison themes are good in SFIV. I dare you.

Makoto’s theme was…unfitting for her character, but as its own track I actually really liked it.
I overall hated SF4s soundtrack, but I gotta say, good luck to them if they decide to bring back Sakura. Her SF4 theme is ridiculously good; I don’t see them topping it.
For a time there I would’ve considered your opinion on Alpha 3’s music as credible, I may have even doubted myself for a second there actually. But then…
You had to go fuck it all up for yourself by having shit taste in music.
Guile’s theme is great. The rest of those are mediocre to bad, but, again, that’s like 5 themes in a game with 50 characters.
