The Murda Mitten-Michigan 2010 1.2 thread

Everyone’s surprised to know that they’re older than Aaron, looks like he’s 30 or so, until he shaves that is.

28, young bucks.

yup same here, im 19 and i thought Aaron would be like 23 at least

All the best players in Michigan are 24 - 35+. Only good young player is Wolfkrone, who is a product of playing us old farts at Wizzards years ago, other than that, yea, the best players are usually 27 and up, thanks.

And just in case you noobs disagree, Justin is 24 turning 25 this year, Sanford is about 26 or 27, Yipes is 23, Valle is about 33, Choi is about the same age, Ricky Ortiz is 25 or 26, etc… For example, you young dudes got big shoes to fill, thanks!

Yeah Aaron I had no idea they planned on charging for the space. That’s just complete bullshit.

I’ll be 25 on April 20.

Arcade > console. I hate playing fighters on console and always will. Arcade tournament and atmosphere is unrivaled.

Damn, big pinball event? I’m going to have to check it out, I love pinball. The pinball hall of fame in Vegas was fantastic last time I was there.

thats bull…

buying a game for like…60 bucks or so to play it with anyone around the world for as long as it lives is worth way more then going to an arcade that has maybe 1 or 2 machines and 1$ a pop at a best of 3 match. fuck that.

considering how many matches people play online everyday compared to how many people play at arcades is hugely different. this is why arcades died…because its fuckin expensive…end of story

I’m fine with console >.<

It’s the famous debate. I love it.

Console gaming is fun, for sure. It’s more convenient being able to play people online, and from the comfort of your living room/bedroom. But nothing beats playing somebody at your local arcade, or even just locally. That sense of community and friendship just isn’t there online, IMO. I love online as much as the next guy, but I have to say that it definitely killed the arcades, man. Why go to the arcade when you can just sit at home and play online? Arcades are dead because of that, and it makes me sad, really. Those glory days are gone.

:frowning:

We can still have community gatherings.

That would mean if there had been no online play, then arcades would still be going strong. I’m not sure that’s true. I think there were definitely certain social trends that kept arcades strong for a while, but social trends don’t last.

Thing is, I still go to the arcade. There’s rarely anybody there, but I still go. More often than I play online, even.

We should, man. Real talk. Would be cool if somebody actually had a spot big enough to hold casual sessions so we don’t have to pay at the game yard. And lol @ “Obese Gazelle”. ;D

@goodm0urning: I just wish there was an arcade near me. I’d go every week, for sure. Nothing compares to playing those, man. I’m sure you agree.

Arcades are dead in America. Japan is still running strong.

Super Street Fighter Taco Night.

Fucking make a date.

I was just saying that to Holden.
It’s coming.

Make it after…April 12th.

I want tacos after I’m off probation

Super funny.

An arcade opened in Bay City. No fighters (at the moment) but we could prob. do events there at least you’d have the atmosphere.

Edit: Aaron you’re not gonna be there on Sat? Who’s running?
