but I wanted to get some version of games in with ya’ll I got a wild card character I wanna try out in a setting where everybody doesn’t know my tricks and I thought this would be a good place to test that out =P I’m trying to learn as many playstyles as possible before Super drops…I even started trying to play a charge character (gross)…

Possible SFIV Tournament at Oakland University
Hey all, I just wanted to throw this out there to gauge interest levels of everybody.
A co-worker of mine is big into the pinball and arcade scene and is looking for another event to have at a big pinball tournament/free play event that his buddy is hosting at Oakland University. He asked me a ton of questions about the (S)SFIV tournament scene and seems generally interested in hosting a tournament.
"We’re putting on a pinball show in July at Oakland University. We plan to have upwards of 75 pins on free play, plus pinball tourneys. We were looking at some other possible events to run during the main event to try and draw more people to the show.
We’re thinking July 8-11 this summer."
Right now none of this is definite or set in stone as I said before, I just wanted to see if enough people would be willing to come out and have some fun at OU.

These guys are pretty serious about this event. They have Fox 2 Detroit coming out to the event to run a news story and they have the Oakland Press coming out for more coverage. Seems like a really good opportunity to spread the SF hype. The only thing that concerns me is that they are hoping to get at least 40-50 people to come out strictly for the SF tourney.
Aaron, he definitely wants a chance to talk to you regarding what’s required to run and operate the tournament and if you think we can rally enough people to come out.

Regardless I just got an e-mail from my co-worker saying:
“Cool thanks. Keep in mind we can’t give up money, and your tourney would basically have to rent a 10 x 10 vendor booth @ $250 for the entire show. We would promote it as well, but it doesn’t seem like this would be worth it for you guys this time around.”
We’d have to pay $250 for a section of the room to play our tourney - sounds pretty lame.
