The Mspaint Club!

^Looks good.

The storm one is my favorite.

I love the grittyness of your Psylocke, it is inspiring and I really need to step my game up, but alas.
**
OH. MY. GOD!!!**

I think I feel faint.:wasted:

That’s hot!

I gotta use that sketch cleaning technique of his.

It’s so simple, I can’t believe I haven’t figured it out before.

Yeah it’s good but I don’t think I’d use it because it just bring me one stop closer the ease of Photoshop.:razzy:

Previous W.I.P Below: (click on the thumbnail)

1.) Merry Christmas Everyone!
Here’s a rough Jean Grey drawing stopping some Christmas bullets. Got to use the cloning technique again multiplying the bullets. I should’ve drawn her in the classic costume but it had that stupid 60’s mask, this 90’s one has a ridiculous shoulder pad, I dunno maybe I’ll change it a bit coz I think shoulder pads are the stupidest things in superhero costumes (yes, worse than underwear outside or Liefeld style pouches).

2.) ARGHHH !! MSPaint JPEG compression sucks, GIF compression sucks too, I only got less than a dozen colors in this thing and it still won’t adapt the palette. I dunno if PNG attachment is going to show, but I hope it does becauce PNG retains most of the color info I want. Anyway, Pink gradient on the TK was done as 7 shades of pink to white with the medium brush then the small brush for the points. Shading on curves is cumbersome but worth it. With the way the gradient turned out I should try a full color next time with the shading done after the colors.

3.) Trying full colors again, not much I can do since I should’v washed it with colors from the beginning before laying over it. Discovered a few things, the default white looking background in MSpaint is actually transparent because I cut the bullets out and moved them in again and the background colors adapted. I should’ve just done a color wash then pasted the entire B&W image over that and clean the colors out. Also, image > stretch/skew is very good for doing aliased stuff (stretch to 200 or 300, work on that state then revert back when done so the lines are clean). I gotta try that later when I get back…heading out for the night…

^Nice

Nice did you copy/paste those bullets?

lol ^^^

Man, if I wasn’t so scared of losing my eyesight I’d try MS Paint.

If the white area of the background was red that would look even more awesome.

buuummppp…

For anyone who hasn’t checked it out already, we had an MSPaint ABC in IMM.

…seriously.

It’s Official. You’re the king of this thread!!! BTW what tools do you use? Zoom/Tablet/etc…?

Same mouse, although I have discovered the “view thumbnail”, the Grid option on Zoom (Ctrl+G) and custom brush sizes (ctrl plus ‘+’ or ‘-’ to increase or decrease brush size on eraser or brush tool)! Also used the right click erase liberally to replace colors without touching the foreground (like the white lines behind the black lines of the cracked mirror).

Took much longer than before, only because the hair is a bitch to draw on mouse because of the long continuous lines, and I’m used to doing multiple strands when I draw with a pencil so I have to take a different approach on MSpaint.

The bugs in the program annoy the hell out of me though, like the scroll click function which is so goddamn worthless. It basically just draws a 45 angle line on the screen up to where your cursor is, and you CANNOT UNDO it!!! Which sucks everytime I hit the scroll click by accident I have to erase it manually.

Also when you are drawing with the right click (holding it down) on the erase tool and you touch the side scrollbars and (while still holding the right click down) you drag it back inside the work area, it will draw a line that you also CANNOT UNDO!

blah, mouse and paint. I gotta ask, how the heck do you guys have those flesh colours? Unless there has been a big update on paint that I never got, or there’s a lot of stuff I don’t know about this program.

double click on a color

ah…I’ll… I’ll go hang myself now…

The difference between me and you (apart from sheer talent lol) is that I use the paintbrush, I’ve never been a fan of the scratchy pencil lines. I always try to create my pics with a cel-like quality. I’ve always known about the right click erase, in fact I’ve use it to create light gleams and such. To be honest, I don’t like to use any other tools to support me like zoom and such, to retain a natural quality.

Don’t sweat it, he pic makes good use of pos/neg format.

some of my ms works

sorry if you notice a lettering done in photoshop but all of this work is done on ms paint except on letters i apologize for it.
