So here’s what happen. I tought i would just do a quick Goku draw in p/b, but while i was doing i remembered all the aweasone draws i saw in the last few pages and tought, k i will put some colors, and so i did, around 30min into the draw i notice its was starting to suck, but since i already had put 30min of work i was going to finish it anyway, around 1hour into the draw( yes i know…) i save the draw just in case something happen and i wouldn’t lose all the work buuuuuuuut, when i saved the colors and shades got all messed up… fucking hell… i was pissed off so i just finish it for the hell of it… the saving stuff messed everything… baaaaah
THe only good thing about the whole process is that i had never used paint like i did this time, hell i didnt know half the stuff like grade right click i kinda like paint now…
So yeah the draw sucks… 
ps: is there anyway to save the drawing without messing up the colors???

I think I should contribute too. maybe I could squeeze one over the weekend. Been playing around with patterns lately.
Yeah the JPEG compression from MSpaint sucks. You should save it as BMP first (Bitmap), 24-bit (I can’t remember if it goes to 32 bit) for colored ones to get the most colors and even for Black and White ones, don’t save the original piece on JPG.
Only save it on JPEG when its done. Even then, I don’t recommend it. lol PNG is your best bet when it comes to getting a nice balance between small filesize without color compromise, GIF is ok for web colors but not as accurate as a PNG.

Shen: That is amazing man. Do you even make any sketch lines? Looks so clean. I always have to make multiple lines or at least feel the need to. Love the lips too, looks awesome.
I can do it now without sketchlines after praciticing a whole lot, but sometimes the wrist doesn’t feel like co-operating. lol so I just do really rough scratchlines and just cleanup later.
Lots of squinting, thumbnail view and multiple straight line tool on hard to curve parts (I can’t use the curve line tool. lol) like the arms and boobs then I just go through it once again to clean up a bit. As usual, lots of going back and erasing and moving around, like the eyes, nose and lips.
The lips look ok so far but the teeth inside are giving me headaches. I don’t know what to color them so it doesn’t look as protruded as they are now. Looks like she has some gum in front of her teeth.

Aliased the side of the lips and the eyeballs as well as fixed the iris.
Added some pink and grays to the eyeball sides and whites in the middle to give it a 3d look. Non-aliased eye lashes/eye brow makes it look ugly though, so I gotta work on that. Teeth are still bothering me.

wow its really quite a stressing job but i see it will look awesome…how do you make the thumbnail mode?
View > Zoom > show thumbnail (only enabled if you are in 2x Zoom or higher)
i never thought coloring would take such a long process heres mine…any advice on how to speed up my coloring?
and what do you think of the colors?

As for speeding up coloring, I think drawing the pallette into the image saves time choosing colors to use (because MSpaint doesn’t save the palette :sad:. Also when coloring, apply the midtone colors you want with the bucket first then use the rightclick erase to apply the lights and the shadows of that color faster. Saves time compared to using the paintbrush and being careful not to spill colors into unwanted areas (although because you are using the eraser, you are only limited to square brushes).

I might have made the canvas a little too big because this thing is taking longer than I thought. lol. Also I had to use print preview just to see the entire image. Probably 3 more days? Dithering is cumbersome work on paint. Changed the skin pallette to something a little warmer because I’m thinking of a reddish background for this later on.

Definitely the longest I’ve ever worked on MSpaint and still a looooooong way to go.
