Oh, almost forgot:
Pretty Fighter
WWF In Your House
Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game
haha - i have Asura, Garou, Rabbit and Fallen Angel on my cabinet and i really enjoy playing the shit out of those games… and i just downloaded Kizuna, Karnov’s and Aggressors from the info posted here.
Thanks guys!
Evil Zone? Destrega?
wow i really like that Advance Variable game. Great vids on youtube, it just sucks that it hasn’t been rom’d for mame.
Got Ninja Masters and Kabuki Klash in my MVS right now. They are pretty obscure in that you will not find them in any arcade I know of.
My buddy made a simple fighter with 4 players while we were in college for some random programming class he had. We have the only copy of the .exe on a floppy somewhere in a storage facility, I guess that’s pretty obscure. Hell we didn’t even name it the file is just called fighter.exe
What was the fighting game with Michael Jordan and Cyclops… ?
edit: Ah-ha, Top Fighter 2000 - Mk VIII.
Ran across that in Japan and loved it.
The first fighting game I remember playing was called “Blades of Steel”. The fighting was pretty basic, but they had a cool minigame where between fights you chased after some black thing.
Don’t forget…
Mutant Fighter! :

Shaq Fu, World Heroes, Psychic Force, Double Dragon V are a couple
Kensi has a weird goth looking dude, and warpath looks like primal rage 3D
Actually, it’s “Cardinal Syn”
I remember having a demo of it, which I really liked. Much later I played the full version and was quite dissapointed. You know, if the two characters in the demo lacks stupid infinites, that might actually be the better version of the game. It already has the two coolest characters, the rest is just meh.
That Jurrasic Park game looks pretty cool!
Some more obscure games… Rise 2: Resurrection(sequel to Rise of the Robots, now without weirdness in versus mode and more characters) was pretty hard to find.
And Chaos Breaker is a bit obscure, mostly because we can’t play it

Been trying to locate this (in vain) for about a year.
Someone tried to sell me a pcb of this game. I had never heard of it.
Dino Rex.
I always thought Thrill Kill was pretty out there, but I think Cardinal Sin might beat even that. Thrill Kill was also the first game I have ever heard announced banned before.
EDIT: Primal Rage was random too lol.
Here are a couple that aren’t emulated, they are PC fighting games, pretty obscure methinks.
Battle Beast
Loved this shit as a kid, rented it a few times, don’t think I ever figured out how to do moves properly though.
Xenophage: Alien Bloodsport
Some interesting characters, gameplay wasn’t great, but I remember it being fairly fun at least.
Most probably know One Must Fall 2097 and Rise of the Robots 1 & 2, RoR 2 obviously being a hell of a lot better than 1.

PC had a bunch of fighting games back in the day, now, not so much.
Have high hopes for SF4, and if the Games for Windows marketplace takes off and has SSF2THDR that would be pretty cool, especially if it allows PC and XBL players to play each other…
What about Ballz 3D, Brutal Paws of Fury and Bio Freaks. Look them up. I had all those games growing up Lol!
Biofreaks had a very cool almost deathmatch quality. It’s far from the worst game ever… but not that close to the best game either.
Rabbit for the saturn is a well forgotten fighter. Sorta Jo Jo meets Bloody Roar.

Battle Heat is barely a game, but a pretty obscure FMV fighter.
FX Fighter is a hunk of shit in the vague form of a fighting game.
I really got into Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle for the SNES a long time ago. It was… different.
Also… Bloodstorm.
I guess you dont know about the Doujin scene.
Still, maybe the most obscure fighter i ever play is “Best of Best” on MAME… and is more like Worst of Worst.
