I want to play this game, and play it online. I read for ad hoc party to work I need to have a PS3 connected directly to a router. I can not have that the way my house is set up. The PS3 is online wirelessly.
Also, Ad Hoc party is only in Japanese?
I played a little of the PS2 version when the servers were up. I had a blast. Going solo I think would be boring for me. I rather group up. Hopefully they gives people a way soon.

Oh well, guess I will never play it online then. :sad: My house is not setup for it to be connected wired. The router is upstairs, the PS3 downstairs, and a couple games is not worth it to rewire everything.
Too bad. I may give it a try solo, but I am hesitant on it. Seems like a fun group game, but a boring solo one.

Yeah multi-player is what this game is all about, solo is more for learning weak spots and such. But as for the training school, some of that shit is so Headache inducing it’s really not worth it at all. a reward for your guild card and a piercing(can’t remember which one it is at the moment.) so really it’s up to you.
It’s funny I don’t have a pS3 for the adhoc ad-on but since the new one is 299 I was thinking about biting the bullet and just getting one. But I only want it for the third party stuff like fat princess and MH but that’s about it.

What? Solo is pretty fun, too (though some g-ranks take FOREVER if you aren’t efficient). Multiplayer is more fun if you have a fun group to play with, but solo is nice sometimes.
And training school is awesome. Lets you learn how to actually play the game, and the piercings you get are awesome as well: finish all battle trainings for Barrage Piercing (gives Load/Capacity Up), finish all special trainings for Saint Sword Piercing (gives ESP). Plus it’s the only way to unlock black Fatalis (who you need to unlock and kill to start unlocking crimson and white Fatalis). I can’t recommend it enough.

Easiest way to make money would probably be to sell any materials you either a) know you won’t need or b) know you can get again really easily if you need them later. Ores and bugs come to mind really quickly. Otherwise, a few options-
a) just keep doing quests. Simplest way but it can be a bit slow for money if you do crap/low rank quests; still, you need to kill wyverns to unlock silver los/gold ian anyways. Best option, imo, since you get more experience beating up monsters, you build up a bank of materials, and you get money.
b) HR5, “An Evening Soaked in Poison.” Bring as many pickaxes as you can, preferably bring an HH with purple and blue notes, or maybe a few mega juices and your weapon of choice, or at least some hot drinks. Go into the caves, mine for quartz ore, bring it back to base by the most direct path (the right side of the map); the two minibosses will never enter those zones so it’s easy enough to transport the ore for something like 2500 points (and 2500z) per ore. Once the caves are mined out, kill Iodrome (or die lol) to finish the quest (don’t abandon). Easy money and one of the easiest ways to get Pokke points for farm renovations.

There’s a reason I suggested that particular quest (Iodrome/Bulldrome in swamp) for the ore thing =p There shouldn’t be any random small fry besides maybe a bug or two, and maybe a Shakalaka, as it is a two boss quest.

For Ultimate Lao Cannon, the general consensus is wear it with a speed fire (auto-reload) set. One I see a lot and use personally-

Full Blango Z gives auto-reload and normalS up for damage, so gem it however you want for survivability.
Those are just suggestions for the Ultimate Lao Cannon. I personally don’t like True Indra/Steadfast at all, you can get guts from Hermitaur Z for less effort, less money, and less looking fat; or you could get it from Fatalis Z lol.

Actually, HR6 regular los has the same drop/reward rate as HR6 silver los for rubies (something like 4% reward for breaking face, 4% reward for cap, 2% tail carve)… silver los is just an easier fight since he stays in one area. Azure los has a much crappier drop rate for rubies.
HR9 los (all variants) has a much better drop rate, but that’s not really an option for you right now lol
I think you can trade gold veggie elder tickets for los rubies but I forget where.
