i researched a little and found monster hunter came out before demon souls. my brother said something about it being like dark souls and made me wonder.

Just complete a quest of any type in the area. The game tells you that whenever you need to do special investigations, you can either find tracks or do quests in the appropriate area. Either way will fill up the meter
You can find research points towards that boss by just doing any old quest in the Ancient Forest. Just farm any gear you might need and you’ll get it.
I played Tri on the Wii. So did others. The Wii had a really strong third-party catalogue it just got largely overlooked unfortunately. Stuff like House of the Dead Overkill, Little King’s Story, Zak and Wiki, loads of good ports like Okami and Resident Evil 4.
Just do optional quests in those areas, the meter will eventually fill up when you complete them. And, you’ll be getting parts to build gear for the hunts to come.
Has anyone experimented with custom meals at the canteen?
