Pretty much learned that the key to beating him with CB is to abuse the sliding forward+circle a LOT and to almost NEVER use the axe.
you have to go to all areas to find all the other tracks
just do sidequests etc in the other areas while searching for those tracks
I’m getting annoyed by the amount of players I encounter who don’t understand how capture works. Too many try to use traqs and traps early or trying to use traps on elder dragons.
Do you have to go into the high rank instances of the areas to find the tracks, or do they appear in either?
I don’t know if the tracks appear in the low rank version of the areas. I stayed in high rank once I got there.
Word up, thanks. Reason I asked is because I was helping friends catch up in low rank stuff and it didn’t seem like I was making progress.
I’m thinking of getting this game. Usually, I have a pretty good idea whether or not I’m going to like game before buying it, but not this time. Is this comparable at all to any other type of game?
If you played Freedom Wars, Soul Sacrifice and God Eater it’s comparable to those.
First play-through has been great!!
Running dual swords, HBG, and LBG…though I haven’t been impressed by the LBG.
Dual swords were great for the beginning culling sections, but I switched to the HBG after seeing the Great Jagra swallow a male monster whole.
The result Great Jagra…ended up catching the Scarface special:
Kulu-Ya-Ku on the other hand was a pain in the ass with the LBG!!
Bastard made me criss-cross the map twice, and nearly had me run into a fucking Anjanath!!
So I’m taking a break and watching some guide videos.
I’m farming diablos right now and bragging aside, I really don’t see what everyone is finding so particularly difficult about him? I find he’s been toned down a LOT since previous games.
He’s not difficult, he’s a pain to fight.

Brachydios is goat, hands down best monster in the franchise.
Same boat as cephalos and plesi!? Hell no!
That fight is made harder than it should be by having to avoid exploding slime. That’s in the same vein as the ground monsters’ constant burrowing and Plessi jumping in the water.
Best monster is Stygian Zinogre, btw.
Zinogre is all flash and no substance.
Weak sauce ass doge.
