I was fighting Pukei-Pukei(sp?) he ran like a bitch, I tracked him down again and then chopped off his tail. Yet again, he ran like a bitch. I chased him down, did some damage then he ran like a bitch again to a corner of the map that I spent at least twenty minutes trying to get to. The flies that guide you to your objective would lead me to a dead-end everytime, so I tried to find him on my own but no go.
The salt was real. I could not find the bastard for the life of me. Do the majority of hunts have the monsters run away when they get on low health?
Yeah all Monsters run. Some hunts take a very long time. Itâs a hunt. You have that time limit for a reason and sometimes youâre really challenged by it.
Thatâs classic Monster Hunter. Monsters get fatigued, they go find something to eat. They get close to death, and they run to find a place to sleep and heal. Triple damage to whatever you hit them with to wake them up. Protip: bring bombs.
Yeah, my friends ended up buying me this game. For Xbox One. (3 of us live in the same house and have Xbones). My other friend finally got to play it yesterday and heâs trying to catch up to us considering we had a 8 hour headstart.
So we always have at least 3 people to help out on quests and a 4th if our other friend is on at same time.
Also, the auto lock on for the Insect Glaive is fucking trash. On the other hand, I really need to learn when it is and isnât a good idea to launch myself in the air. Nothing more frustrating than being about to mount a monster and his roar cancels you out of you launch, or being in midair and him smacking you and canceling your attack.
When I press R3 the target locks into a specific body part of the monster. When I was first doing it I was ass because I wasnât doing the correct air combos in the first place, until I figured out I should lock on first, launch myself, use B, then, If the monster is outside of the camera, use A to orient myself back at the monster, then use B again, and so on and so forth.
Another question, did they nerf the mounting for IG or is it probability dependant on how much stamina you have left while in the air? Have not quite figured that out yet.
Might go with sword and shield at this point if the mounting capabilities are essentially the same, despite the aerial mobility of the IG
You usually have to hit them.a fair few times even with regular jump attacks. The IG has never exactly mounted easier, it just gets jump attacks easier.
Monster Hunter is usually played best when you free aim.
The last I played were the one on ps2 and I didnât get to try the beta. Either way Iâve already bought the game, I am gonna avoid streams so that I can play it fresh, get lost and then google anyways
Will post in my psn here once I get my hands on it. Thanks!
Try specialise in one or two weapons and youâre going to want to get a lot of the iron and bone generic ones for gold, not just one or two.
The weapons go down a lot of upgrade trees. It pays to build all of them as different monsters have different elemental weaknesses. Itâs great for just fashion as well having a massive collection of cool looking weapons.
In the previous games I wouldnât start upgrading until I get the + armors. Iâm ranking up on armor cores completing investigations. It probably wonât hurt to start the upgrades now.
Insect glaive, switch axe and great sword are the weapons Iâve settled for in this one.
Also, donât be afraid to get a distance weapon in there. You can hit from farther away and more easily hit face and tail. Tobi rapes me when I try to longsword it, but when I use a (WEAKER) light bowgun, itâs eradicated like an albino Namekian.
