None of the Monster Hunter games on release have had G-rank, if I recall correctly. In the west, we got 3U and 4U only instead of the vanilla games, which did not have G rank either. Traditionally, G rank comes later. At the very least, I hope G rank comes at a later date as a paid DLC expansion, rather than having to buy a whole new game.

I was a little confused why the game will not have G-rank on release as well until someone else explained to me MonHun games don’t have G-rank on release. It’s not a big deal to me, personally, although it would’ve been nice to have G-rank from the start.

We got fairly lucky with 4U. They gave us a lot of free stuff. I was really surprised by it honestly.

Poogies are back.

More details from the stream which showed the poogies. Specifically, the poogies are coming as part of a day 1 patch. One new thing they can do, is you can now carry them and use them to hunt for items. If an item is nearby, the controller will rumble and you can let the poogie fetch the item for your item box.

The day 1 patch will also add a gallery mode, and, surprisingly, you need to download the patch to enable online play. I’m guessing the latter is because all the tweaks that were done from the betas were done after the game was submitted to Sony/MS for testing, so they couldn’t make the disc.

I guess the leaked list is true after all. Well, that is a big chunk of content and I am happy with it, although slightly dissapointed that no monsters from 3 or 4 made it in. I was hoping we’d get tetsucabra, zamtrios or najarala. Those dudes are fucking wicked. On the other hand, the new monsters are pretty fucking cool. Really looking forward to grinding legiana.

Shits really common down there. I still lived in Peru when vanilla MvC3 came out and I picked it up like two weeks before release. My one friend picked up Bloodborne like three weeks before release.
