I did it in sub 14 with the Hammer last night, but I have yet to beat Nergigante with Bow. Bow is pretty difficult because most of his body is armored…
Beat him with a group last night.
There’s a sweet spot under his wings where there doesn’t seem to be much armor. That’s where me and the guy using the bow were aiming for in my vid. The upper part of the tail also seems quite vulnerable. Still pretty hard to hit those spots though.
So, despite what I said, there are now multiple sub 4 minute Bow kills lol

Uses a glitch with torch pod stacking. Everyone stacks torch pods (5 per player), then they use a combination of the paralysis frog, staggers, etc. to keep him locked down. It’s the same glitch used in the 2:36 video that @Gasaraki posted.
Also, I think what the glitch does is like, any explosive hitboxes that overlap with torch pod’s flame seems to cause those explosions to deal increased damage
I’ve been missing out with this Gun Lance. Too fun. Might go play 4U after the beta to keep my skills up. So thats SnS, Switch Axe, Bow & Gun Lance. I love this game.

The other thing that people are theorizing is that Nerg has low-ish health (current calcs have it at around 1400-1500) that’s balanced out by him being able to regenerate it.
And explosions also ignore stuff like armor, etc.

I mean fuck, it even tells you when your damn teammates are fighting the thing and there’s a big square icon in the map.
I think part of the reason I can’t beat the nergigante motherfucker is also because I’m trying out new weapons on him I suppose. I’m really trying to get him with the charge blade but I still can’t quite get the hang of the rhythm of this thing. Does the stance switch from axe to sword have a parry window? I could of sworn I parried a couple of his attacks by accident doing it but I’m not 100% sure.
You should just stop playing around and use whatever works best and beat him, even if you have to play in a group, so you can get the completion bonuses before the beta ends.
Yeah, CB has guard points on attacks that end up with the shield in front. Not really a parry, but you can block things better than a normal guard with it and I THINK you can transition straight into the SAED(the biggest axe move) from a GP.
People are planting the little barrel too close to the big ones. There’s barely any time to type and you can’t type more than a couple dozen characters fml
Hell, people are planting big bombs right underneath the target in some cases, so the small bomb that sets them off will be what gets the bonus damage instead of the big one…newbs.

I still need to figure out what’s the best way to position bombs so that my True Charge Slash hits the monster and then causes the bombs to explode.
