One of the reasons I Will never be able to play dual blades. They feel so dinky to me.
Spirit slash combo and wyvern fire all day for me baby. I want to main GL this time around but Iām also interested in the insect glaive.i just have 0 experience with it but I felt like darth maul with it the 5 minutes I tried it outā¦which is good.
Dual Swords can be dinky but they are killer for status affliction. Dual Swords that can cause paralysis is cheap af.
They donāt feel that dinky in this game IMO. Even they got a big style thing with the jump Tri. in Demon mode. That said, I do agree DB isnāt AS meaty as the rest, but I mean, thatās to be expected I suppose. Even SnS has some real meaty stuff lol
Finally ran into the Pukei Pukei today. It jumped in during the 3rd quest in the Ancient Forest while my group was fighting the Aljanath. Group mostly ignored it though.
SnS has always been pretty good because of using items from the draw. All of those quick weapons are good for abusing the weaknesses of certain monsters too.

Twice now Iāve gotten into groups where weāre able to take down Diabolos before killing the Barroth and completing the quest.
No such luck with Rathalos though, shit just takes up so much time, especially when it flies off and you end up having to chase it around the trees.
Rathalos has always been a fight where you want a gunner with the right ammo.
Once it comes down you can generally go to town on it with anything but the flying is a pain in the ass.
So the second online beta is over. I missed it, but can we at least still play the demo on single player mode, or is the whole demo defunct now? I canāt find out for myself cuz Iām not getting home till nightfall today.
Didnāt find any during demo, but do they still have that animation where the legs are pumping like the Rath is trying to run as it falls from the sky? That always made me chuckle.
I donāt know, I havenāt hunted it in the demo really. I remember shocking it out of the sky and focusing the tail when itās on the ground being the best strat though.
For the vets what do you think the best new move is?
Switch Axe looks dope as hell but my pick is the Lance power guard. Letās you block things that would normally knock you off your feet. Thatās going to be huge, especially if Evade lancing is dead.
Gunlance harpoon explosion hands down. Gl is going to be straight bonkers with its dps strings.
Finally got Rathalos, on the very last run before the beta ended. We didnāt even kill Anjanath after because the beta was ending (though it actually didnāt log us out).
No, there is no demo, just the beta, and now that itās over you canāt select anything from the menu aside from the PS Store basically
My personal favorite moment from this last beta.
Weād actually done enough damage that just putting bombs on it sleeping was enough to kill it.
