No boosts from what I can see. They had a power up from the LS ability, but thatās it. The Barroth was close to dead and they just happened to finish it off with that attack.
Played a bunch more tonight, me and crotch were having a really hard time killing the Anjanath just with the two of us but we took care of him with some others. We also killed the Diabolos(spelling?) in the desert area in the caves. That thing was a fucking crazy fight and took us a couple hours at least. It was so goddamn epic though, Iām already addicted to this game
Yea what Gasa said. I wonāt say addicted cuz I can do any farming or crafting yet but it deffinitly is fun to play, especially when you have a buddy to hunt with.
Once the RPG mechanics are part of the game I see this being something I could play for a long time.
Need to see if I can get the translated version of Monster Hunter 3 working on ppsspp to hold me over for a month.
Tried to solo the Diabolos but I made so many mistakes, man Iām rusty. Game is fucking gorgeous though, really hype for release now. Would anyone be interested in a SRK MH Discord for when the main game drops?
Iām also rusty as hell man. I put like a thousand hours into Tri and hundreds in 4U but I havenāt played Monster Hunter in a couple of years and I keep overexerting myself and not watching my resources. I keep forgetting about some moves and items too. It will come back to me though.
Do these monsters eventually bleed, or is that something reserved for the full game, or may be omitted entirely in the final version? I saw early demo play on Arekkzās youtube channel where the monsters were bleeding after a while. I did all three missions and all I saw was sparks. The addition of an actual sharpness METER rather than a rather vague indicator is fucking great. Not liking R3 (I hate using analogs as buttons, just a personal gaming peeve) to target-cam the monster (gotta check control setups to see if I can change that to L2 like Switch MHXX). Gunning feels less like actual Monster Hunter, and more like another attempt by Capcom to try to snag the COD players. Iāll get used to it. It didnāt feel bad, justā¦different. Also not liking how mounting is now some QTE-esque shit. Just give us the meter with a monster head turning orange or green to let us know when to brace and when to attack. Everything else, though, felt like a MUCH prettier Monster Hunter, and there was no problem grabbing any of my favorite weapons and getting to business without needing a usage tutorial. Overall, when this drops, my MHXX Switch version is gonna be ONLY played away from home, unlike now.
Iām gonna sayā¦no. Not at release, at least. No point making that Discord when itās likely gonna be dead. If there are enough people playing frequently, the Discord will be a great idea.
Figured out why I wasnāt getting the Spirit Thrust to do the run up, downward air slash goodness. Needed to charge the second spirit meter and not just the first, lol. Trying to take on the Advanced mission but canāt connect. Using light armor for everything because the mobility is a godsend.
