That’s something you’re going to have to learn to do on the fly. Like, you gotta read the monster to the point where you can sharpen your weapon mid-battle. You can easily get fucked otherwise.

So yeah tried out the first map with the bow. What are you supposed to do when you down the monsters? Like when it’s belly is exposed? Are you supposed to just keep shooting it or is there some qt event you are supposed to trigger?

You position yourself in the range where the bow does full damage, then you unload on it.

Drop a trap, keep hitting still it stands then fall into trap and repeat the hitting.

Use the triangle + circle attack. Long charge but huge burst. Make sure to either be point blank with close range ammo or at least have power ammo on. Can probably get 2 of them off which is around 120 damage total. It’s your best DPS. Maybe there’s better strats, but that’s what I did

I wish there were more quests. Been running the same three nonstop. I have to turn to killing the nonquest monsters like Diablos and Rathalos.

I’m definitely still maining Switch Axe, it’s still insanely fun. I’ve rocked that weapon (along with the Lance) since Tri.

Damn this makes me wanna get up and buy a tv and ps4 right now. Does anyone know if you’ll need a playstation online subscription to play it online? I might just end up getting it on PC instead if that’s the case
