Maybe a placebo effect? I’m using the feathered clothes and Wyvern and I’m blowing past people when chasing a monster. Seems like I have more stamina as well.
knocks on wood send me some friend invites on PSN people, throwbreak.
I think they just weren’t sprinting then cause sprinting with a sheathed weapon is the same no matter what armor and weapons you have
Ah I see, yeah, I haven’t noticed anything like that yet. It’s possible it’s turned off since this Beta is international and generally Japan has that stuff off or not included. If it is in the game, most likely the non JP versions will have an option for it
Yeah I noticed the Sprint thing after that post, lol.
I found a Rathalos high in the trees. The only other time I saw one was when it picked up the Anja and dropped it lol. This leads me to…what’s the best camp to spawn at for the third mission? I’m waaay late to the party and tend to get lost pretty easily. I’m getting better and not getting lost but I’m still late. I thought Central camp would be it but apparently it’s not. I’m guessing Southwest camp?
Gunner armour is lighter but it doesn’t make you more mobile, you just take more non-elemental damage. It’s like Mages or Rangers armour from other games.
For the vets I like that they made the Switch Axe finisher more than a gimmick to abuse elemental weaknesses. Like if you’ve played the other ones it was a thing the weapon did but not the main use, now it builds up to a big glowy finisher.
What I don’t like is they took the bread and butter triangle, circle, triangle, circle up and down slash away in sword mode. It’s probably enough to make me play a different weapon as the switch axe feels more like a longsword now.
Probably the most exciting moment so far for me. Replaying the 3rd quest, when a Rathalos just came in and decided to mess things up. https://youtu.be/xUnQU33DUyI
Played a bunch of Hammer and some Gunlance yesterday. Hammer’s spin jump is so freaking awesome haha. I wasn’t really understanding the weapon at first but I found a weapon intro on it and it helped get me started. Breaking a Barroth’s head the first time felt amazing lol
Yeah Hammer and Bow are both really freakin cool. The dash charge and mounting melee strike from a dash, plus that sweet, sweet Dragon Piercer are all so much damn fun to use.
