Nope. It shows the cutscenes in certain fights, and I believe only the first time. Idk if you were undertaking different quests with the same target, but it isn’t dependent on whether or not you can actually win. Technically, you can always win if you’re good enough.
Still trying to figure out the dlc quest stuff…can you carve monster parts on dlc arena challenges, or is that where you just get first aid meds when you carve?
Been playing 3rd portable with a translation patch on PPSSPP. I can definitely see the appeal to these games and I might just cop MHX for the 3ds when it releases here.
Also got destroyed by a Zinogre my first play through. I was popping off and everything after I had slain the monster then that nigga comes and destroys my dreams.
Got 4u on the 3ds, huge improvement in terms of level design. The mounting mechanic is fresh and forces them to make a lot of areas as non-linear as possible.
monster hunter has never charged for dlc and they’ve been offering it since the PSP versions.
tri is the only non-frontier version of the game that charged a subscription fee, and that was only to japan. that’s the closest MH has come to charging players more money.
Hahah. C’MON you guys—did you expect anything less!? This is CAPCOM, remember? Hahahah. It’s still one of the few
games right now having major post launch support. I do give CAPCOM props for that.
