It isnt really theory though. Just keep cancelling shit into fly all the time and you will get results. She is pretty autopilot. People are just over complicating her, she isnt hard to use at all.
I think Painwheel has major potential on the fact that she can cancel so many good moves into flight for combo extensions and mix-ups. Only thing is that she lacks (IMO) is something super derpy and non-multihitting that she can easily hit confirm into.
Let me rephrase some;
Everybody is seeing results (in the sense of wins) with Cerebella and Parasoul, whereas people seem to be having trouble with painwheel.
It makes sense though, their styles are always the ones that are the strongest at the beginning of a game.
It doesn’t help that painwheel is outgrappled by Cerebella and outspeeded by a majority of the cast. Eh I’m pretty sure Bella will drop. But Parasoul has damn good pokes and looks like a combo monster.Can you say Dante?
It looks like they were aware of it, and gave her a few extra toys to compensate, but in the end 'Bella will probably have ‘grapplers disease’. They always start strong and go constantly down in tiers as a game ages (excepting maybe Haggar)

Yer right about Parasoul, she seems to be the ‘has everything’ type, especially with good assist support.

If Cerebella was patched with a Pipe upgrade I would quit this game. Because of her range and raw power her hurtbox sh be exposed nearly 100% of the time :P. But man, Bella may go down in solos but if you build a team around her geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez.
Your damn right on that one, its even worse if she goes solo and proceeds to wreck shit and perform long strings of combos. Same with Double who people seem to be sleeping on, who in my opinion is really damn good. Which is why I rank her up there, with Fortune and co. But yea Painwheel is pretty good, but she can be outpaced and maneuvered by other members of the cast and her range isn’t as redonculous as Bella with her Titan knuckle FP, and she can grab Painwheel out of the air before she is able to do her JMp or Fp with execelebella.

I agree with you on that one, nobody is useless and each brings something unique to the game and nobody is a clone of another character already in the roster. Thats all that matters to me in the end, High Tier or Low Tier, neither matters to me so long as everything is fair, balanced and equal so that everyone has a chance.

Mid-High Tier - Valentine
Mid Tier - Peacock, Double
Mid-Low Tier - Filila
Low Tier - Ms. Fortune
This game feel really really balanced though. So the discrepancies between tiers is pretty minimal.

Also Also, it’ll serve as an interesting record of how peoples ideas about the game evolve over time. That’s worth having the thread in and of itself.
The list is based off of probably 2-3 hours of actual VS. play. Dont take it too seriously… I basically just ranked them according to how much trouble I have had against each character.
Like I said the list will change for sure. Like I have only faced 1 Double so far and it was only 2 matches I believe… so I really dont have a clue about the character and what she is capable of. Same thing applies to most characters besides Painwheel/Filia who I main.

Better question is why are you getting so riled up about it? Even though the game is very pre-mature it is still fun to discuss the balance implications of the game.
I dont understand why people get so upset about tier discussion threads. I also find it hilarious how people are like “I hate tier discussion it ruins the fun about games… let me see what is going on in this TIER DISCUSSION THREAD… Oh fuck this shit they are talking about tiers! What the hell!”

Firebranded (bolded for DevilJin seriousness) - If this indeed does become the tier thread will you promise to keep the original post updated similar to what DJin did for the UMvC3 tier thread? That is really vital.
I can’t promise everything but I’ll stay on top of things best I can. That’s all I can offer. Hopefully a super-official thread will be eventually allowed in the actual sub-forum run by someone like Chibi or Duckie.
