Lol im so pissed right now. Diaz was one of my most anticipated fights over the next few months. Nick is one of my favorite fighters and I can’t stand how boring GSP has been of late. Thought Nick would have given him a run for his money.
Pretty much shows how unprofessional the kid is though. He could get away with this shit in Strikeforce where he was one of the fighters holding them up… but not with the UFC. Serves him right too I hope he learns that part of being a fighter for the biggest promotion isn’t just what happens in the cage… it starts way before that and everything that goes to promote the fight.
I still hope he will be allowed to fight in the UFC aka given 1 last chance. I think a fight between him and Fitch might be appropriate for a #1 contender. Or possibly Diaz v Penn for #1 contender since Dana can’t stand Fitch lol.

Diaz had a chance due to his entire skillset and superb bjj and odd angle striking.
Condit looked really good in his previous fights and was the last wec ww champion. Condit vs GSP is just as good as Diaz GSP imo.The downside is that now there’s no Penn Condit and it doesn’t seem like Diaz is filling in for Condit, so fans lose one marquee fight.

LOL NBK’s skillset is just as good if not better I’ve watched both these guys for years and the only differences are and nbk doesn’t smoke as much weed and NBK has one shot KO power. Diaz doesn’t have that claim and niether does GSP.

Not to pile on the Diaz hate train (ok well nevermind that part I enjoy the shit out of it lol) but Condit has not only won against wrestlers, but come back to win against being wrestlefucked at least one time that I’m aware of. Diaz lost to shitty wrestlers like Diego Sanchez among others. We’re not judging them based on sub wins or purely on who’s the better BJJ player, we’re judging them on their MMA record as it pertains to their overall ground game, and that includes takedown defense in my eyes since it goes hand in hand with MMA grappling. And when you do that, Condit’s resume stacks up better. You’re never gonna see Condit in a fight against a pure wrestler/brawler type and go “oh shit 3 rounds on his back, dude is fucked.” You absolutely would say that about Diaz, though.
