I do want Rampage to win, some of you guys have been calling him 1-dimensional, but honestly now that I look back at his fights I’m worried for him.
Anyone know the name of the track used in the promo??
Rampage crying for supposed snitching made me not want to root for him as much, but I still don’t like Jones much either so… it’s a toss up.
It could be a legitimate claim, but it could also be him being paranoid. I’m inclined to believer the latter, but I don’t know… maybe more evidence will surface in the future.
AGREE WITH ROCK BOGART
i CLEARLY remember rashad going RIGHT AT RAMPAGES INJURED KNEE IN THAT FIGHT.
who the fuck punches someones KNEE IN A CLINCH???
he even got the injured one on first try. cmon now.
I love that promo, shot so well. I can’t wait for that fight.
Also, has this been posted before. I just found out about this show

I forgot about the fake broken hand part of the story. That does make me wonder.
I wouldnt be surprised if Bitch Jones’ camp did plant a spy or two in Rampage’s camp. I mean the fact that Rampage kept his fake injury off the web and only in his camp and gets a call from Joe Silva about it? C’mon son.
And Golden Glory has said Overeem is now, for sure, signing a UFC contract.

I watched UFC for the first time 2 days ago, and what I need to ask myself is “Why didn’t I watch it sooner?”, hell this shit is awesome man. This is the proper fighting I’ve always wanted to see and it’s awesome. I think I watched the one which was held in Rio, was it UFC 134? I’ve no idea, I don’t watch it enough to know, but some Minatouro guy or w/e his name is and Anderson Silva (who’s name I recognised) were to the 2 fights I enjoyed the most. It was some good shit
Well, then, welcome aboard.
MMA’s a blast to both watch and compete in.
If you ever have any questions that you want answered (Variance in MMA rules, fighters to look out for, all that good stuff) - some of the guys in here are very knowledgeable, and probably answer just about anything you throw at them.
Other than that… keep watching. It only gets better the more you understand about the intricacies of their styles, as cliche` as that might sound.
Yeah, for that I have a friend of mine to ask lol. He is a huge UFC fan and is becoming a pro kickboxer. Fighting is in his blood, his Dad was a 6th Dan in Karate I think (might be wrong, he was a very high rank though) before he sadly passed away of bone marrow cancer.
Yeah, I will try to watch but I’m in the UK and I don’t have cable/satellite television (you don’t know the ridiculous prices they charge) so I’ll have to see what channel it comes on. I saw it on ESPN here at a cousins house as he has some weird box which gives you all the channels at no cost, runs off an internet connection, but yeah, I think it’ll have to be online streams for me.
A few questions I have are: Is UFC the where all the MMA fights are? Or is it like the most famous (kinda like WWE is to wrestling, although I shouldn’t mention that company around here I bet :P) and who generally has the best fights? I am aware of Brock Lesnar being quite good and I hear Dave Batista is wanting to join MMA (fucking roid junkie, them mofos shouldn’t be allowed near these proper fighters) but yeah. I remember a few years ago Chuck Liddell was quite a big name but not heard anything of him in a while.
Also, when is the big “UFC event”, it’s on 140 or something now I think so is it every 2 weeks, every month? Sorry for the mass of questions, I’m a newbie to all this
There are bunch of promotions, but yes, UFC is where all the best fighters are at atm. I still have a lot more fun watching DREAM, though.
Uh-oh. INCOMINGGGGG!
…a wild Songo appears!
edit:
I’m not a big fan of their forums after the past few years, but the website Sherdog.com has a pretty nice calendar about halfway down the right-hand side of their homepage, which gives you dates and details about upcoming Bellator, Strikeforce, and UFC events. You can also go into their full event calendar from there, and follow even the “minor leagues” - AFC, One, DEEP, Shooto, King of the Cage, etc.
Nowadays, there’s almost always MMA on TV. UFC is normally where all of the biggest stars are, and the production values are generally a tier higher than the rest, so it’s probably the easiest to watch casually. You know, get together with some friends, drink a few beers, and wait for fireworks. (Unless Jon Fitch is fighting, in which case it’s more like watching incense burn. :P)
To bad its band in NY, and as a black guy 'ive never herd of one rapping a fat chick.
Also rampage is not good enough for jone’s he’s done in round 2 if jone’s go easy on him. FACT
lol, I don’t check the thread too often but is that what happens? I’m a adamant PRIDE supporter if people ever talk about the greatest promo ever, but it’s kind of hard to deny that UFC has the best fighters overall at the moment although I prefer to watch DREAM by a lot. I’m still hoping to see Gegard Mousasi in UFC in the near future.
On a related note, I dunno if I still want to watch ONE this weekend or not. My hype level went way down after Ole Laursen had to pull out.
i want my ignore button back. i dont need sherdog 2.0 again.
also da gawd of muay thai buakaw apparently was in boston recently. im mad i didnt know.
