TMA is a very good base, depending on the martial art.
tma has its benifits, gives you a strong base in something. it also has the ability to fuck mma guys minds up, cause their not used to seeing tma techniques in mma. i did tkd for years and when i took a lil muay thai they always get weirded out at how easily i can pick up their kick techniques. tma also has philosophy that goes with it…none of that hulk smash mentality that you get out of mma. i really wish mma would have some kind of non hulk philosophy, itd calm alot of these angry kids down instead of them walkin around like tough shit i do dat ufc crap.
And TMA has givin way to Machida, GSP, Tarac Saffiedine, Anderson Silva, etc that are very good and are winning. But none of them are greater than Harold Howard.

Ea mma was amazing. I still play it to this day. The whole stand up is amazing. The ground game could use some work but it’s still bearable.
Let’s hope THQ learns from ea mma and its past games. I like that they are speeding up the game though.

sim games suck though. all the ea games are way to sim now and they are really not fun. Like seriously i already play hockey in real life…why do i want to play a video game that could never even come close to real life as much as they tried. You can sim the shit out of mma…it’s never going to be anywhere near what a real fight is like.
The game needs to be fun first an foremost. you can sacrifice realism for that.
