-he also said that strikeforce was gonna be a seperate entitiy.
-no way karo parisian would be in the ufc again
-no strikeforce vs ufc
-has said no womens division…now he backs off sayin its cause their arent enough superstars. nigga i def read an interview where he just didnt flat out like women fightin.
dana says anything for the bottom line.
you and i saw two different fights…silva didnt kick anyones ass. he tapped him out…but he mos def didnt kick annnyones ass.
You really are ignorant for even asking such a question. Hiok isn’t based on hope with his skills so much rather than just being flat out amazingly talented. Unlike KID, where everyone knows he has the skills to do it… But whether his preparation and mental state is there for KID is always a question. Or an Omigawa, who got a decision vs Hioki he didn’t deserve. Although Omigawa showed improvement, we don’t know if he didn’t adjust right or whatever. Destroying LC Davis was a huge boost for him. Hioki has fought in the time zones and won multiple times already. He’s a stud.
Because your Japanese fighters have done so well over here thus far, right? Remember that time Gilbert Melendez was gonna have a tough time with whatshisface, for example? Name me one Asian fighter other than Okami who’s anywhere near a title shot in the US. You can’t even find that shit in Strikeforce right now. Fuck outta here. If this Hooki dude comes over here he’s gonna get worked just like all your other little Japanese dudes.
How well do American fighters do in Japan? Not too well buddy. “My Japanese fighters” because I support a few therefore all Japanese fighters are mine. Sorry I respect Kawajiri for being a top fighter for what, 7 years now?
Kawajiri, top 5 LW all time is a whats his face. Good to know.
Mamoru Yamaguchi. Hioki will most likely get an instant title shot. Fuck you, good day sir.
He got offered a new contract that allows him to jump between organizations, and guaranteed him a shot at GSP. I’d say he got off pretty well, all things considered. I cannot imagine that he would be making any less money with this new contract, either, and if he made $150k for his last fight, well… he’s doin’ alright.
They don’t need to really. Featherweight and below won’t main event for a while unless it’s on a fight night. Since it’s not a main event they can just use Aldo for the Co-main event and use two other names to hype up the main event.
This. They’ll never give Hioki a title shot right off the bat. Nobody knows who he is (at least no casual fans, and they make up most of the audience) so to give a main-event/co-main to an unknown would be bad business. They’ve got to at least have some sort of introduction for the guy - look for a fight on the GSP-DIAZ card to give him the most publicity and a chance to turn heads.
I mean of course Rogan is gonna do his part to hype dude up, deservingly so, but to fight for the belt in your debut? Not even Anderson got that treatment. 1 fight and he’s in there I bet you.
Anderson wasn’t as highly sought after when he signed with the UFC. Hendo did. I know they say it was a “unification undisputed” whatever bullshit but the reality was there was nobody to fight Rampage.I’m not saying he’s guaranteed it. Instant title shot would be the best for the UFC imo since everyone else is tied up.
