If you’re referring to the guage option I assume it’s just to change how the gauges look. AC has different looking gauges in comparison to the PC version.

Woo this character is hard as fuck to use. I predict many Aoko fanboys dropping her very quickly.

6ABC = PUNISHABLE BY BARA. Do not complete the chain on a blocking opponent unless you want to die. Stop at 6B.

Ya, I’ve got like 6 games I have to play in the next few weeks for various reasons, but I’d like to hop on the bandwagon when I can get a chance. Finally there’s a PS2 version and all.

At last I’m finally playing the game. I’ve cycled through all 24 of Nanaya’s colors and found 3 that I like. 4 more characters to go. <.>

I’ve trying out Aoko lately and she seems like such a fun character to use. I just need to figure out how to use those energy blasts and spheres (I don’t know the official move names so bear with me). But I’ll stick with her for now. Is there any other way to combo off her 63214 moves other than 2B2C in the corner? It seems that all hits must connect.

requirements for unlocking hidden contents

from the official bbs:

neco arc

beat arcade mode with all 22 chars.

neco arc voice sets

use neco arc in survival mode and beat the 22nd opponent, neco arc.

neco chaos

repeat the above 6 times (which unlocks all neco arc voice sets) then beat arcade mode.

system voice sets

use hisui/kohaku in survival mode and beat the 22nd opponent, neco arc.

character bonus voice sets

for each character, beat the 22nd opponent, neco arc in survival mode.

so i guess neco chaos wasn’t a joke afterall.

Some minor things that I’ve noticed about the game:

-narrator’s voice sounds different
-narrator says a character’s name after you select them
-narrator says “perfect” for perfect wins
-characters speak during the win screen
-the bgm in Aoko’s stage sounds rearranged

There are other variations involving more OTG hits in the corner but I’m too lazy.

Anybody have a tier list for this game. I also find Kouma to be likeable…y do i end up like the characters with no air combos. Oh well i have Hisui for backup.

I’m not sure what the latest tier list is. The one I’ve seen is pretty outdated, May 2005. I think the latest one was released around December 2005? Then again, it might change as time goes by and players discover more things about version B.

Anybody have any BnBs for Kouma. So far iven been doing 2AB,5C, 2C, 5C, Air throw.
Or substitute Air throw for 623+b or C.

anyways, got bored and tested out last arcs and heres what i learned:

the following chars break magic circuit:
arc
shiki tohno
akiha (both)
sion (both)
hisui (wtf!)
len (wtf!)
warakia
satsuki

when your magic circuit is broken the text (magic circuit) is replaced by the text ‘break’. in max/heat/blood heat mode ALL of your meter is then COMPLETELY emptied (0% circuit). however, when not in max/heat/blood mode only 50% circuit is depleted from the bar. now just imagine your circuit being broken by A PIECE OF CAKE (len). hence ‘wtf’ aside her name. hisui’s is just as humiliating.

the rest of the cast cannot break circuit for reasons unaware atm. maybe there are some hidden attributes?

side stuff:
-miyakos throw glitch has been removed :sad: . i really liked this particular glitch too.

-akihas flame pit bug has STILL NOT BEEN FIXED :rofl:

-akihas super double jump has been removed. this may screw w/ her standard corner b&b.
not sure cus im too busy raping aoko to bother testing :wgrin: .

-aokos 214a/b (ground/air) orbs collapse when:
*the area around the orb is struck (similar to testament nets)
*an orb of the same strength is placed (a orb> a orb again)
*over a period of about 7 seconds.
*this applies to the arial versions as well.
*arial versions are considered unique from ground versions so one can place an a orb>b orb>a orb(air)>b orb(air) without any of them collapsing.

-421[a/b/c] orbs:

  • only collapse when aoko is hit, blocks, or releases the button.
  • only 2 of this version can be placed on screen at the same time.
    *can be held infinitely

-ms. blue is a poor mans eddie/zato. you noobs out there are done!!!

Breaking magic circuit is a nice twist to these last arcs. It seems that Hisui’s would be more useful now considering that it did no damage in FT.

I’ve noticed that while testing Arcueid, but it takes all your meter only when if you’re max/heat/blood heat mode, otherwise it takes 50% of what you got, also in your list you forgot Sion.

ah i c. its seems pretty fair now. its not 50% of what you got though. im guessing what you meant was 50% circuit (as in 50 points of meter) is depleted from the bar.

training mode sucks and is quite deceptive. im randomly not getting last arcs on EX SHIELDS. wtf.

No i meant 50% of what you actually got in your meter bar when the break occurs (some Lasts Arcs like Sion’s or Akiha’s gives your opponent some meter due to hits before the break occurs), it’s easely verifiable in training mode.
