In combos they can be effective for some characters. I’m not sure about all the details, but I know that using reverse beat in combos prorates damage even more. However, I’m not sure if this applies if something like a 2A whiffs and then you follow up with something else. In other words, I don’t know if the damage prorates only if the reverse beat hits.
Also, reverse beat is useful for making combo strings safe or restarting them.
I don’t play regular Arc, so I don’t know what to tell you.
Reverse beat prorates wether it connects, whiffs, or is karaed. Having one reverse beat in your combos(maybe two on occasion) is OK, just don’t over do it.
I am going to just start this game…I’ve seen my friends play it and OMFG I am in love with the Geese-style Alice ROTD type girl. And like Alice in ROTD she is broken from what I hear…best character in the game!
As soon as I get into this game I’ll be glad to share my findings etc.
Unlocking Neco-Arc: Complete Arcade mode with all 20 non-secret characters (press START when highlighting Arcueid to select Neco-Arc).
Unlocking Neco-Arc Chaos: Complete Arcade mode with Neco-Arc after unlocking all Neko-Arc Voices (completing survival mode 6 times etc…) (press START when highlighting Nrvnqsr Chaos to select Neco-Arc Chaos).
Oh if she plays like Geese (Even has an air Shippuken)…then I will surely like her…:wgrin:
And remember all I can do right now is go off what I know…and I’ve have played the game once…and it reminds me of simpler Guilty Gear.
Right now I’m just gathering up all the info I can on the game am studying it like classwork so I can be ready once I get it…so yes I’ve been reading this thread from start to finish and the other ones to understand the game, and I’ve played it once…so I am getting a feel for it. And I am starting to watch match vids to see what I can interpret etc.
I will hit it hardcore surely in a month, and from what I hear there are a couple of complex characters so I will surely pick them up. (As well as learn the simple straight forward ones I learn every character in the games always!!!) I hear a knock on the game is that its “not that deep” and “not to be taken seriously.”
Is this valid? Not gonna stop me from playing it seriously…but how far does the learning curve go???
i played this game for the first time yesterday and i was usin the one girl that has the whip and she pulls outta gun and shoots u…but anyways this game seems like it is very combo friendly…i was pullin out mad combo just by doin lp lp mp hp special move then super…kinda plays like guilty gear as far as the combos go.
Hey Geese, long time no see/chat… I find it funny how you compare Red Arc to Geese… lol not saying she is better or anything, I just dont see the comparison
