The Melty Blood : Act Cadenza (PS2) thread~

Does the game come on version B by default or do I have to change it myself? If that’s the case could someone please inform me where to do that under options because I am so lost between the Japanese and the poor translations //_-

The PS2 version is set to version B by default. You don’t need to change anything.

Awesome, thanks.

You’re totally freaking welcome!

Now I just have to figure out who to play v_v

cough Aoko cough

Eh…HOW ABOUT NO

No orbs for me thanks ;(

But orb tactics are fun.

orbs are fun, but sometimes i wonder why even practice aoko and work hard with her when you can win matches with half the effort playing sacchin. D:

o yea and i’ve learned that 623c (satsuki, not aoko) has 65% prorate in version b. that’s a lot of scaling…

yukinose’s akiha vid is insane. now that i think about it though… since act cadenza is now on console, people will probably experiment and discover more stuff, and i hope to see some crazy shit happen in japanese match vids once version b hits the arcades.

Anyone actually get to play SOMEONE ELSE in this game yet XD?

Haha what do you mean by that? I play more than one character. points to sig

i think my aoko/satsuki pair compliments my dizzy/potemkin pairing in slash very well (yes, ky is no longer my secondary… although i still play him few matches here and there during casuals).

the sad part is, i think my satsuki is a lot better than aoko during actual matches. D:

Probably because Satsuki is not only easier to use, but also easier to win with. =\

And easier to pick if you’re player one.

in the game settings menu the “handicap” is set to “on” by default.

does anyone know what this does? does it affect single player, vs, both?

should i switch it to off or leave it on?

Handicap only affects versus mode, as far as I know. Turning it off to skip the darn handicap option before a match starts just to have one less thing to press is something I require.

i see, thanks a lot.

THANKS

I had nice games with my friend the other day. My Arcueid B V his K Kouma. Probably the first set Ive played on this which actually had a couple real tactics flying about, I think weve both really found our characters now. I spent a little time trying out A-Vermillion but found her a little more difficult to use effectively. My friend swapped from Nrnsqr to K Kouma for the same reason.

Now hopefully somebody is feeling in a good mood and wont mind answering a few beginner questions for me. Lol.

  1. Reverse beat combos, are they generally practical or is there some sort of penalty for using them?

  2. Arcueid’s ground dash cross-up. Ive been using it alot after knockdowns trying to figure a way to get an opening on people’s wakeup. Is it worth it or is there something better I can use?

  3. A nice combo for Arcueid=B would be very appreciated. Im using very basic combos at the moment, chains into dd+b/c (dp move) + etc.

Somebody help me out please!
