In other news, I was playing a few sets with friends yesterday and it seems like I have a problem with people using beam assists. I’m not sure how to approach this. One guy used Cap + Ironman, another used Wolvie + Disruptor, and another Viper + Plasma beam. It seems that once the beams comes out I can’t really do anything other than become stuck in block stun for them to do whatever they want. Any suggestions on how to get around this? I always get hit with some c.L or they just go in and mix me up before I can even call out my own assist or be safe to throw out a button. Aside from random MGS -> xfactor, missiles gives me problems too.

I was messing around with MadBeast in XF3 yesterday because I was bored and wanted to learn Paulow’s combos, and I’ve pretty much got it down. I also came across Pulsr’s old video of Jill w/ XF3 / Madbeast doing the Arrow Kick chipfinite and I noticed something:
If the opponent doesn’t pushblock, you can get a ton of meter back because it’s chipping him out. If he happens to push block or just mashes it like the CPU’s auto pushblock mash, then you get no meter, and she is pretty screwed because they took no chip too. However, you can mix it up by hitting L > ArrowKick, and that will mess up their timing pretty well. Chances are, you could even teleport behind someone, LMH > paulow’s madbeast combo and it will give you a bit of madbeast and about 3/5 of xfactor left, and about 3.5-4 meters if you start from 5.
The question, though, is what do I do on incoming? NSR says that she has some madbeast guard breaks, but I can’t seem to grasp what this concept would be like. If I did teleport up, j.S, if I had somersault, this would be a good setup. But not in Madbeast. What do you guys think?
I’m going to try to incorporate more MB in my gameplay, and I want to see what else you guys do with it.
I’m trying to incorporate MB into blockstrings, not just for the chip but for actual Jill/bolts mixups that go forever and ever. You just don’t block that shit lol. It’s only for when i really really wanna kill off a character though.
Sorry, i didn’t record those matches. Not all of those wins were legit either. My internet connection is horrible so we both dropped a lot of combos. It was fun though

But yeah I miss those notifications too. I’ve come up with a couple of things for my team, but it’s not postworthy since it’s only for me. I am interested in testing out NSR’s Jill / Frank / Strider team though.
