I think Jill is better than Wolverine though.
Same, major work overload over here as well. Was supposed to head out to VxG but the work piled on and I had to cancel. It’s a shame.
Chrisis as well thinks Jill’s better than Wolverine, though I had to show him the light of what Jill can do haha.
The thing about Jill/Wolverine is that they both have huge striking similarities. Honestly, I would side with Jill on the better character with you, although this opinion is a bit unpopular.
Jill has MUCH more mixups then he’s able to do
Jill has about the same damage as he does for 1 Bar, perhaps less since he can link hypers

Mad Beast is somewhat like Berserker Rage.
However, Wolverine has a much easier time applying his mixups in the neutral game and can be much faster at it. Wolverine’s Dive Kick is phenominal as a movement tool and as a a mixup tool. Wolverine has one of the best start-of-the-round-gambit’s because his buttons are so good and effective. Along with somewhat of an Air presence.
Berserker Slash–> Berserker Rage–> Berserker Slash/Mixup is very similar to how Arrow Kick Feints work and work.
As the game develops, people will start to notice how strong both characters will be to rush-down.
Any advice in the wolvie matchup? I know jill should win but I try rushing him down, and it never works because he ends up rushing me down D: but then I win because i switch to dante point and just spam crystals with strider assist. Wolverine cannot get passed that at all.
On a side note, can the community make like a community flow chat? I think it’ll help people get started with jill to know what to do in certain situations. As well as me, I’m trying to create a flowchart for myself because I feel like i should play planned games, otherwise, im left stuck not knowing what to do ever, and also what I’m doing that’s punishable.

Punish divekick. As long as you stand block they are always throw punishable, and if you chicken block you can hit confirm into flip kick loops
Oh i thought it was unpunishable. Please elaborate how to confirm a punish from chicken blocked divekick into flipkick loops? I can’t see how that could be possible. Not saying it’s not, just saying that I don’t know how to do it.

depends on how high up you are when you chicken block it. Sometimes you can catch him in recovery with a falling j.H or j.S > combo, or if youre really low to the ground you can do LMH > stuff. Yeah. Just work on it. It may be a little hard at first, but it gets much easier when you do it a few times.

Over the course of weeks, I’ve been shifting my online team from Jill/Frank/Strider–> Strider:Vajra/Jill:Arrow Kick/Strange: Bolts of Balthakk
It’s a Extremely strong team and off a hit I’m getting four bars for Mad Beast or Oroborous.
After a Kill I get disgusting mixups, can Tag Strange in set up an EoA–> Hard Tag back to Jill and apply pressure with 50/50’s on incoming.
Really starting to dig this team.
Strider has to be extremely mean with all that behind his already mean left/rights. As much as I like him on anchor, I think his other positions are unfortunately neglected.
I used to run Strange, but I just really don’t like him. Shame, too, he’s so cool.
Eh, I’m not one for Strange either, but Bolts is WAAY to good to pass up.
Bolts plus Strider Zoning is extremely deadly. With bolts, I can go from Zoning–> Mixups between each bolt, and go for his instant overhead by the second bolt. Gives Jill that mean 750K-850K extension too.
With Arrow Kick, I can setup Jill like Force Rolls via the dual Wall bounce. After a strider BNB ending with Gram H, I can call Jill for the wall bounce, Vajra M for the cross up, and setup a high/low on their roll on wakeup.
Another good thing I like about the team is the Strider–> Jill DHC synergy. If I legion to MGS or a whiffed Raven Spike I can **move in with animals, and setup mixups along side them, simply put; you’re not blocking it. **
Better yet Legion–> Mad Beast is moreso disgusting. I can Command Dash making it to my opponent before the animals.
Loving this team more and more.
I’d love to see footage of your Strider -> Jill play. I’m still not sure what to do in Mad Beast.
New here. Been following everyone’s posts and I’ve mostly been looking for ideas on placing Jill 2nd since I want to practice the TAC infinite. I especially like NSR’s recent team. I think I’m definitely gonna try Strider/Jill simply because it’s good to learn him on point since he gets snapped in when anchoring anyway. Not sure on Strange, though. I don’t think my will is ready for the execution needed on his flame loops.
Who is best fit to replace Strange? I feel like Sentinel drones is the obvious choice, but maybe I want Iron Man’s beam assist since it’ll travel full screen. … I know anchor IM is a crazy idea, but a few guys on the IM forums seem to think it’s not as terrible as it seems.
Or actually… maybe Hawkeye is correct alternate answer. Paulo is already doing Jill/Hawkeye and I could have sworn seeing him say somewhere that Hawkeye/Strider is pretty awesome.
