No just saying they may go lazy. Just make her a Chunners with guns. Hoping for some uniqueness to her besides fast rushdown character with guns but let us see.

There’s no evidence to say that they’ll make her omg unique either.

On the other hand, Jill doesn’t have any super powers, character based gimmicks and most of her moveset is going to come from what sort of things she did in RE5. With that in mind, what they can do with her moveset is entirely limited to physical prowess and feats of agility. Making a moveset out of that which is unique and interesting is probably not as easy as making a unique and interesting moveset out of -say- a character who has power over gravity, or who can bend cosmic space-time.

I disagree, it’s not that hard, especially since we’re talking about Vs series physics and laws of what a regular person can and can’t do.

Actually I can imagine a really interesting sort of gameplay that revolves around fast dashes ( give her an air dash ), maybe a wall jump/run type mechanic. Of course A is jab and B is kick, but tie her C moves to gunfire, and give her a lot of quick activating/recovering specials that she can activate on the ground or in the air. So you create something that plays as sort of an amalgamation of Chris and Chun, rather than being a total RTSD pixie ala chun or X or a gunfire keepaway character like Chris or Deadpool you play at mid range with ultra high mobility and quick specials, dashing in for combos and dashing out for light zoning, etc.

Still, no reason to call her Chun with guns.

Completely disagree about this. Look at MvC2 Shuma (since we haven’t seen MvC3 one). His powers allow him to do literally ANYTHING, and yet his moveset is horrible. Remember, original looking moves don’t equal original playstyle. Even some signature character moves are often useless (coughSpinning Bird Kickcough).

Jill is no Ryu, she can be quite original, yeah, some moves might look generic, but that doesn’t mean her playstyle will be generic. After all, a projectile is a projectile, doesn’t matter if it is a bullet, greanade, fireball, wind, lightning bolt, energy blast, or some mystical BS, they all act quite similar. Likewise, most specials are your standard DP, Tatsu, SA, Divekick, Dash Punch, Hyakyretsu Kyaku (and so on) variations.

Jill does have superhuman powers.

That’s not what I meant by superpowers. Acelerated agility does not = superpowers. By superpowers, I’m talking about throwing lightning and shit like that.

And as far as super agility, strength and acrobatics go, Chun Li does have that field covered and so does Wesker. The only thing Jill has that puts her aside from the other ‘super humans’ with powers relating to expanded limits of the human body, is that she carries a different gun from wesker.

I mean honestly, she doesn’t grow tentacles out of her arm or anything like that and she doesn’t throw fireballs. Chun Li is arguably more superhuman based on her ‘powers’ (ability to throw fireballs, so on) even though we rarely ever see Chun’s fireballs because they aren’t that good.

Of course her playstyle is going to be different from those two, but her ‘flavor’ probably won’t be all that different. I’m talking about style of character, aesthetic and such. They are going to have to work hard to make her stand out visually from the other similar speed characters. She needs to have a unique wow factor like everyone else in the game.

Also, Shuma’s tier placing in MvC2 has nothing to do with how cool and unique his moves look. He has his own style and that’s what I’m really trying to get at here.

you left out command grabs and 360’s, torpedoes and rekkas. anymore out there anyone? lets get a list of all the “type” of specials, or not. but it would be fun atleast to see how many types we could find.

spairal arrow, blanka ball, and psycho crusher are all the same type of special (torpedo).

Basically, she gained this:

  • Superspeed
  • Super Strength(?) never displayed it, but her ‘master’ had the same shtick.
  • Two SMGs, a few smoke grenades

Not to mention, blonde hair, and a battle suit that when zipped perfectly (like in Mercs) makes men kneel.

She’s almost certainly gonna have a blue alt STARS color. Any guesses on the other two colors? She’s not known for many other colors.

Green for RE3. Then probably Black.

Black would look great. I like to color coordinate my teams at times.

Green? Her dress in RE3 was blue. Especially when it was implemented as an alt in REmake.

It was greenish. Not that it matters, other than one or two colors, most Capcom colors are just random.
