Where can I download?
you must be new to moviesā¦this is how the industry works and how you get people to fund it. if you want the dreamā¦go to crowdfundingā¦cause no big studio is gonna fund a big budget remake with a nobody. it needs to be achored by a known starā¦especially something as cultish as this movie.
Which is why hollywood sucks ass.

dont like itā¦get a kickstarter. make a following. do the ground work and make your movie happen.
Dj_Hyper_Kid: maxx: Dj_Hyper_Kid: maxx: Dj_Hyper_Kid:Chris Brown? Ughā¦ They tried to have his tall ass do parkour in Takers and it was terrible.
his parkour is fineā¦he actually has martial arts tricking pretty decent. but then again his cousin is realllly fucking good at tricking.
But Chris Brown canāt act. Iād much rather see an unknown (indie circuit anyone) with decent martial arts and acting get cast instead of Chris fucking Brown. I am almost certain that there is a black British dude who can act and has skills to play Leroy. Plus they can hide accents pretty well lol.
i think thats personal tasteā¦im not chris breezy fan by any stretch of the imagination but im not about to let my feelings for the dude cloud my judgement on his skills. and he has far better acting skills then most of these dudes making dough on the big screen. i wouldnt be mad at all.
Itās not that about me liking or disliking him. Itās that everything I have seen him in has been mediocre at best. itās like they would cast him on name and not skill. Yeah he can do some tricking and dude can dance, but it would be really hard to see him in the role as a martial artist (like Jaylen Smith in the Karate Kid). Itās like the whole movie would be people thinking āso Chris Brown just took out a bus load of niggas with one punch? come on sonā. Plus Iād just like to see some new talent, you know?** Itās like donāt put someone in something just for the sake of their celebrity.**
rcaido:I really dont mind remakes, sometimes they even are on par with original but i really cant see how Last Dragon can work. Biggest problem is the 80s cheese, this what makes it a classic/charm that you can watch over an over.
Now if they go with Dragon Returns or something like that where Bruce Leroy got a son. Then set it to modern time it might workā¦
Well if you look at director Ti West (indie horror director). He did a film that felt like it was straight out of the 80ās and it worked extremely well. I would say it could be done, but you would need the right person. Michael Jai White did a great job with Black Dynamite and that is a modern piece. I think if you took it and gave it a slightly darker feel, it could be something really dope. Iād like to see the director of Drive take a crack at like a dark, serious martial arts movie.

Sam Jackson as Sho nuff (nuff said, lol) I know what you are sayin man, what I am saying is that a lot of movies coming out are straight indie movies and. So of the best movies coming out are not so big budget. I understand the end result is to make money and all that, but there can be someone other than Cris Brown. Unfortunately there really arenāt any young, black martial artists/actors out for real. Itās like you really have to dig.

ya ive talked to my boys both stuntmenā¦one is chris brownās cousin and the other who is a double for the new turtles film. ya brothers are far and few in between in the stunt industry. the older ones tend to be hella wack to me.

I remember Michael Jai White talking about the lack of young black martial artists and him wanting to pass down some knowledge and what not, but for real martial arts is not just in a lot of their minds.
Speaking of new talent, who are some of these up and comers you guys a re liking. Granted they arent super new, I am liking that Maureese Crump (or Krump) is getting some love, and Marko Zaror.

i trying to slowly get to that dreamā¦its a long ass road cause i live in boston. but seeing local guys get stunt jobs gives me hope.
Iād love to see some new blood the likes of iko uwais and dennis to. What I donāt want is model ass niggas doing shitty acting in a kung flick which is something even hk has been bad about.

lol hk will always be about teachin pop stars to do kung fu. no matter how bad america gets itā¦asia invented teaching pop stars to be kung fu masters.
After 1996, it was pretty much all Pop stars with a fan blowing their long silky black hairā¦It was like the asian version of 80s rock bands, you couldnāt tell which ones were chicksā¦
It was sad lonely drought during those times.
One of the reasons I think there arenāt that many black martial artist is that most brothas are too into basketball and boxing (nigga sports) to even think about martial arts. Iāve heard niggas say they love looking at karate/kung fu movies but wouldnāt do it in real life because itās looks hard. But you will run up and down that court and shoot that ball in a hoop though. SMH!! Sorry for the rant -_-!!!

The best thing is watching the fight comps on World Star. Itās like these niggas really think they can fight, but for real they are garbage and usually have to sneak someone. I am a fan of MJW and I see what he does when he tries to produce/direct a film. I see the vision, but it falls short. iād love to see some grimy, dark martial arts flick 9think Oldboy but straight fighting). One of my friends suggested maybe a film noir martial arts flick. but the thing is that martial arts in film is more so pro wrestling and mma. The reason why I loved watching old kung fu flicks was because of how they kept to the roots. I am seeing people starting to break away from the mma influence and go a bit more traditional. I think that is why I like Marko Zaror, because he can be flashy but still get grimy with cats. But for real I think a lot of people donāt want to get shown up. I mean MJW got shown up by Scott Adkins in Undisputed 2 and for real Marko Zaror may have inched out Adkins in Undisputed 3 (though Adkins is still sweet).
I mean MJW is a martial artist and just look at how he chops it up with Kimbo. Basically passing on that knowledge.
Adkins is by far one of my favourites. I hope he gets Batman simply for the reason that heās getting older so itād be cool to see him shine in that armour. And heās born in my city.

nah, its mostly cause its a word of mouth kinda world. most people who do stunts are usually karate tournament people who wanted to transitionā¦or your a crazy white boy who wanted to light himself on fire. alot of the time if you didnt do the karate sceneā¦its literally you just knew a dude. rarely do i hear someone who isnt in the martial arts world say i wanna do stunts as a career. at least from my experience.
The_Furious_One:physically portray a man capable of beating up Superman,

I watched man of tai chi. All I can say that I felt embarrassed watching Neo fight. Too bad having Iko Uwaise in it did nothing (he was barely used). Needless to say it wasnāt terrible, but I canāt seem to stomach watching Keanu Reeves in anything other than the Matrix. Dude is super stiff and stale.
And frail looking. Seriously he couldnāt be ass pained to gain some muscle mass?
We got him in the final fight instead Iko?
Fuck that shit, well atleast that Ip Man was enjoyable.
