same. zero gravity and stunt people were the shit back when their was a crazy martial arts indy scene goin on in the early 2000s.
I remember there was a website that I used to visit that had a solid online community basically youtube for stunt, martial artists and trickers. Bi⦠something =/
edit: it was called Bilang
yup, i lived on that site. billy bilang hahaha. shit was a legendary place in the tricking and stunt community in the early 2000s.
Man I just heard my spot for asian cinema has been slipping. They got into the vape business over a year ago and that ended up being their #1 focus for making money that they pushed the movies to the side a little.
Guys I need help IDing a movie from my youth.
Final fight is in Thailand or something.
1 white dude vs 1 bad guy black dude (might be Billy Blanks)
They fought in masks inside of a large bamboo cage with swords. The pit has bamboo spikes in it.
White guy cuts black guys mask in half with a sword.
Thatās all I can recallā¦
edit: LOL Fuck⦠Found it!
My googling was strong today.

[/quote]I posted this in here about a year or two ago. LOL!!! King of the Kickboxers was one of the greatest martial arts cheese movies ever.
āLET THE GURL GOOOOOOY!!!ā
Now as I watch BBās face⦠I remember it scared the fuck out of me when I watched it.
I had to be around 7-8 years old and his pissed off face had me shook!
Hey odin, you want some more Billy Blanks in your life? Then check out Showdown. Basically it was ripped from the Karate Kid. LOL!!! I think I might have posted the whole movie in this thread already but here is the trailer.
Holy shit, Iāve never seen this movie hahaha Incredible!
I think my favourite all time bad martial art movie is Breathing Fire.
Had to have watched it over 100 times when I was young and managed to get a knock off DVD a few years ago and the movie still holds up with entertainment. And it has that amazing Paul Hertzog soundtrack.
What I remembered the most about Showdown was the main villian. He was the main villian in Death Warrant with Van Damme. I remembered him being much bigger than Van Damme. So when I saw Showdown adn saw that he and Billy looked the same height I knew that Van Damme was short as hell. LMAO!!!
Gonna watch SPL II as soooon as I get home. Ip Man 3 was cool as shit. Iām signing up for Wing Chun classes tomorrow.
the sandman patrick kilpatrick
I remember this movieā¦like a more hardcore take on The Karate Kid.
Couldnāt make it past 45 minutes of SPL II.
You tried, man. At least you tried.
Sorry just saw the answer to the question was going to ask.
Sword of Destiny was some bullshit. Ill always stan for Michelle Yeoh and was a huge fan of the first one (even though the wire fu was comedic, it was a solid story). What we getting with SoD? Pretty much the exact same minus 90% of the budget and 99% of the credibility.
Oh yea theres a drunk guy that keeps it real but meh. 3/10, for the sake of a Netflix original and bringing up some good vibes from the OG.
the wire-fu in crouching tiger were for philosophical reason which were accepted by the masses because of its tightness (allowing you to feel it)
I canāt stand wire fu, I think its completely retarded. but when you see its use in a film like Hero youāre able to see its depth and how it fits into the story telling. most wire fu directors just do it because āit looks coolā
