I saw some of that. Somehow it felt like In The Heat Of The Night, but with lame jokes. Vanishing Son was better…too bad that shit…well, vanished, before finishing a single season.

Jon is going to be amazing no doubt. My skepticism lies in the feeling that they’re going to try to force him to be a Jackie Chan clone in the acting department when that’s not how he is.

On top of that, I just don’t find the guy in Carter’s role to be all that good in this role. A lot of the interactions feel forced and from what I know about the casting process, he was far from their first choice. They were a week away from day one of shooting and they still hadn’t casted the role yet

Wow that Rush Hour looks fucking terrible, its like Martial Law but without Sammo. They should have just changed it up, the two actors Chan & Tucker are to iconic personalities. I never cared for the Rush Hour but maybe change it up a bit…Like maybe have a black chick play the Tucker role.

AMC has released the first photos for “Into the Badlands,” its upcoming saga that stars Daniel Wu as a well-trained warrior who embarks on a journey across a dangerous land to find enlightenment. Accompanying him on his journey is a young boy named M.K. (Aramis Knight).

“Into the Badlands” was created by writer-showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar (“Shanghai Noon,” “Smallville”) and is based on the classic Chinese story “Journey to the West.” It stands as another example of TV’s martial arts-focused drama trend.

“I think there’s a great variety of martial arts that you can call on,” Gough told Variety last year, adding, “Oftentimes, it’s a fight that comes down to two characters, and television has an intimacy that really lends itself to that.”

The six-episode series bows later this year. It is currently filming in New Orleans. Gough and Miller serve as executive producers along with David Dobkin (“The Judge,” “Wedding Crashers,” “Shanghai Knights”), Stacey Sher and Michael Shamberg (“Pulp Fiction,” “Contagion”), and Stephen Fung and Wu (“Tai Chi Zero”).

From AMC Studios, “Into the Badlands” will be distributed internationally by Entertainment One Television (eOne).

I was wondering what are your thoughts on Marrese Crump. I feel is quite an underrated martial artist. In TYG2 (The Protector 2) he really out shined Tony Jaa imo. But I was wondering what others thought of him, do you like his style, do you think its boring or what? I know he was trying out for The Black Panther role, but he obviously didn’t get it.

Kinda surprised he hasn’t been picked up by Marvel for work yet. Might be too big to be BP’s stunt double though.

Yeah. I thought he could have made a decent BP honestly. I asked him if he did get called to do stunts would he get bigger because when I looked at the comparison he seemed a bit smaller than how I remember BP being, but now that I think about it. BP is mad agile as well.

Looks promising but I hope they keep wire-fu to the bare minimum. I seriously don’t want some Crouching Tiger dandelion floating every fight scene. Shit put me to sleep.

I saw Police Story almost 2 years ago, movie had very forgettable fights & very little of that. It was a bad dvd copy but fights were pretty bad. Especially w/ Jackie standards.
