New Scott Adkins film.
Lol and it’s a remake…terrible. The whole point of Green Street Hooligans was that they were regular assholes that just didn’t give any fucks…
That isn’t out yet? I saw it yonks ago, the version I saw was pretty poor but there are a couple of decent scenes.
yea movie has been out for years on netflix lol and its utter shit. Dude teaches london chavs mma to beat the big bad? Gtfo.
I was trying to be polite, but yeh, it’s wack. Music choice is a bit wild too. It’s a shame cos with both Chris Howard and Joey Ansah having roles I was expecting some amazing work, sadly they didn’t do the choreography.
It was just a really dumb concept for a movie. The first GS was pretty top tier, and the sequel was mehish. Wtf is gonna believe though hoodrats running around London doing MMA on each other? I really could drop the dayashathirts dbz evoluation movie review on this piece of shit man, like the scene when goku is fighting the high school kids and they doing flying kicks n shit omg.
Obviously i got huge respect for Ansah but Adkins is only a semi decent JCVD clone and the fact most of his movies are b movie ass isnt helping the guy out. Potential all pissed away Daniel Bernhardt style.
To be honest the fight scenes in the trailer looked terrible. My hopes aren’t high for that new film he’s in with Wu Jing either.
It’s really over the top for a film that is meant to be grounded. The two just don’t mix
LOL he is first choice Guile. It’s not his fault the movie sucks though, he put in a good performance, just it should have been for a completely different movie.
Great MA movie, outta print now @Angelpalm youll love it the black guy gets the white girl and Mark Dacascos is at his best, shit maybe even pulling Jacky Chan 80s tier fighting off.
edit: Its called Drive btw. Skip to 1hr 19mins for one of the best coonish one liners of all time if your not gonna watch the movie tho lol.
Pretty sure I had a link to that whole movie in the old thread lol.
Yeah it’s a fun little flick. Feel bad for Mark, america never really gave him a chance.
That was 16-bit.
drive is america indy martial arts movie classic. like it has legendary status in the indy world.
How could I forget about Drive? That movie was the only decent thing that Kadeem Hardison was in since A Different World and he did have one of the greatest quotes in movie history. LOL!!
This is not martial arts related by I think I should post this anyway:

Only translating the important bits:
On the morning of 17 December today, a 51 years old cameraman who was working with Jackie Chan on a new movie titled 《絕地逃亡》 (literally “Escape From Danger”) fell overboard from a boat along with 7 others while filming at sea. When the boat flipped, 7 of the passengers made it back to shore safely, but the cameraman was missing. Chan who was on land allegedly jumped in and swam out to find said cameraman but to no avail. He can be seen in the water being helped onto a boat in the last picture of the link. The authorities only managed to find him an hour later, and the cameraman was pronounced dead at the hospital. The unfortunate cameraman has worked with Jackie Chan in “Rumble in the Bronx” and many other titles.
It seems like Chan’s recent set of bad luck is spreading to those around him. This is so sad, and kind of ironic movie title.
Joey Ansah talks with film combat syndicate about screen fighting and martial art training
(casual discussion)
Reaffirms one of the big reasons I loved the bathroom and kitchen fights in The Raid 2, really fluid and natural and they were trying to punch each others heads off.
The homies at Budo Mate compiled a year end list. I already voted (mostly for Raid 2 and Street Fighter).
I think the only one I didn’t agree on was the Street Fighter’s Ryu v Ken fight scene is considered best fight scene of the year. With the kitchen scene from Raid 2 in second. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Assassins Fist, I thought it was well made, but there is no way that fight scene is touching the kitchen fight. I think a big part of it is the nostalgia factor, but whatever, both films were great.
May go back and watch both before years end.
I agree with you 100% that’s the way I voted too.
…don’t tell Joey o:)
This was pretty damn good. Iron Shirt style!!! LOL!!!
Watched Drive last night thanks to this thread, excellent excellent recommendation, found the director’s cut on youtube. Going to track down Broken Fist(Path) next
